Maybe the kid watched the NU-HC game before making his decision of where to apply.
You would like to project filling out a team around Pridgen and Lowder over the next four years, but with the portal nothing is assured.

There was no hype about the kid because Holy Cross was never involved in recruiting him. Hope the issues at Notre Dame were not the type that a change of venue won't cure. If I remember correctly his home life wasn't exactly Leave It To Beaver material. Wish him well. I know next to nothing about this kid or his family. This isn’t the place to be making comments about his home life.

This thread is dumb. Northeastern's a quality school and a quality basketball program. Best wishes to Doherty.

NU has engineering, a co-op program that places you in PAID jobs (not unpaid internships) during alternate semesters, although I don't know how that interacts with scholarship athletes, and it is Boston the home of the bean and the cod, not Worcester which was once labeled the "The industrial broom closet of New England" in the New York Times. If you are from Marlborough, maybe Worcester doesn't have the luster it has from farther away. The young man could also get a year of free graduate school out of the transfer. We snagged Reilly away from Phillips Academy. That's at least one vote of confidence in Holy Cross and our new coach. You think Worcester has "luster from farther away". Believe me, Worcester is the least recognized mid major city in the US.

I think 2-15 and a 50 point loss to NU could have closed that door. Also , NU is a great academic school with one of the best Co-op programs in the east

Speaking of NU's academics, maybe we can get them and Fairfield to become members of the PL and split the conference into north and south. It would cut down on travel and we would actually have two neighbors. Northeastern might be getting tired of being a geographical outlier in the CAA. Just a thought.

If I wasn't so lazy, would have done that in the first place. Nothing derogatory nor did I intend anything to be.

That sounds fair enough to me especially if he has made public comments about the topic.

Just because a school has outstanding academics doesn't mean they'd even entertain a thought of joining the Patriot League. Why would they?

To keep the campus climate warriors at Bay? I am a bit surprised that student protests haven't erupted over how much greenhouse gas emissions are emitted when college teams travel so far to compete in these geographically Gerrymandered conferences.

HC, BU, NU, Fairfield, AWP and Colgate would be the North Division with FB and baseball having one league wide division?

HC, BU, NU, Fairfield, AWP and Colgate would be the North Division with FB and baseball having one league wide division? Works for me. If Fordham wants to join, I would put them in the North and look for another Southern school. Maybe Bill and Mary? That would create a 19 game hoop schedule.

I remember reading about this the first time he left Notre Dame (as a frosh...he did eventually return but his departure was a pretty big story among their fans).

Agree with Ray and teamer. What a silly thread and thought that Holy Cross is so superior to Northeastern.
It's 2020.

If you go by the price tag, HCs a better deal at this point. That's for sure. Hopefully NU families are getting their money's worth and not a 20% surcharge because of the zip code
