Interesting logic...they "all" stayed and graduated...except for the one who did not. Why not give this a rest?

Those who believe Carmody is off limits from being criticized for the program he left Nelson have their heads buried squarely in the sand.

Coach Wade is posting "game day" stuff so I would assume this is not a package deal. Good.
In light of what else is going on at Holy Cross, it won't be very difficult for Lowder to leave the school quietly.

The last several years have been very difficult for the Holy Cross Community. I sincerely hope that the tragic event of today is the last for a long line of very bad and unacceptable news we seemed to having to endure.

...certainly puts the failures of the basketball program in perspective, just sayin'.

Those who believe Carmody is off limits from being criticized for the program he left Nelson have their heads buried squarely in the sand. We call this a "straw man" FYI. Some here have strongly criticized Carmody for poor recruiting, and at the same time when a very good freshman point that he recruited decides to transfer in the middle of the season after Carmody is gone, that is still Carmody's fault because...reasons. A former coach is a convenient punching bag, I'll grant you that.

I guess one can make the case that he recruited the kid and while the kid has shown a lot of ability, he's apparently lacking in other areas. Given that we've had 3 other of his recruits mess up in one way or another, I think it's only human nature to pile on FCBC.
On the other hand, it was pretty much common knowledge Mitch Hahn was leaving before Milan got fired. Then Milan DID get fired. But somehow many have blamed Bill C. for Hahn leaving. That one never added up.

In light of what happened today and out of respect for all the families involved, could we all take a step back/breather from posting anything regarding HC athletics? What's more important: posting negatives about anything and everything or respect for the HC community for what took place today?

After the game Lowder posted this
Druzi. Matt Faw is a dawg!! Learn the name-obviously watched the game
It has been taken down but remains on his VC page-
RT @jonrothstein: Holy Cross transfer Drew Lowder tells me he's receiving interest from Boise State, Washington State, South Alabama, UC Sa

Showing interest in teammate Matt F. now is a bit late. He could have been a true teammate by being loyal to his entire team at least until the end of the season. There is very little to no advantage in transferring mid year

Agree that is what we might believe he should have done
But then again we haven’t and most likely never will (Paul Harvey) be told “the rest of the story”
It very well could be entirely of Lowder’s making, but more often than not it takes two to tango-not saying that is the case here and honestly it no longer matters as he is gone
Time to move on

I have to put this in there because one of our threads was quoting Al McGuire.
George Raveling was up for the Washington State job in 1972. He was an East Coast guy and asked Al for his advice.
Al said: "Pullman, Washington is where elephants go to die".

maryland is the tallest team in the country with many excellent defenders and one of the best point guards in america in anthony cowan. still get a kick of watching this video as maryland could not stop lowder from the perimeter on his penetration to score, or his penetration to drive and dish. the crowd around me was wondering who the hell that kid was that was torching them all night?!? while we will be moving on from lowder, this was truly a memorable debut performance for the ages.

Those excellent defenders gave no help on Lowder’s frequent penetrations I am not impressed by Turgeon’s defense

There is very little to no advantage in transferring mid year Not sure about that. Assuming no NCAA waivers, now he will be able to play on December 15, 11 months from now - assuming he finds a home soon. Had he played through the end of the season, he would not have been able to play a game for 20 months.

Should be 3 years from when he starts playing....so half a year next year then 2 more.
You don't get 8 semesters of eligibility, you get 4 seasons and he certainly played enough games in 2019-20 to have burned up one of those seasons.
