Army and the top of the PL (including Loyola and Lehigh) are nationally ranked opponents. Those 3 (+Navy and BU) are all fully funded. Despite the funding differential, the facilities, educational opportunities and regional talent base, enables our boys play to the same level. Of all the teams on campus, M Lax is the one that has the best prospect to compete nationally. The PL is the 3rd or 4th best mens lax conference in the Nation. The OOC schedule is strong with a heavy local, New England flavor that keeps travel expenses and burdens on the students to a minimum while giving them a chance to secure a high RPI (just win). The backing and promoting of the M/W Basketball, hockey and football teams, is terrific and this past Fall was really enjoyable to experience success on the gridiron, consideration should be made to ADD M/W lax to that group with increased scholarship funding and promotional $. Go Saders.

/\ You have a point that it would not take much for us right now to be a New England power in D-1 lacrosse. Just slicing up more lax athletic schollies (not even the 12.5 other schools might slice up) would be helpful. (TBH I have no idea if we have any men's lax schollies that we slice up at this point) This is way off the topic but I did notice that none of our 17 newcomers this season come from NY.

This has been mentioned many times on this board over the years but hockey and lacrosse are actually two sports where we could compete for championships occasionally.

Huge test today at AWP at noon. They’re ranked 16th and have one of the best defenses in the country - will be a low scoring game imo - Tesoro will have to play well in goal

12-5 final. Army is very good this year and looks to be the favorite in the PL Maybe. Loyola and Army tied in the preseason poll, and Loyola currently is ranked ahead of Army in all the polls. Army had a really strange loss last week, falling to Marist by a 17-9 score. The same Marist team that lost to Bucknell by ten goals yesterday. But Army also has had some good performances. Being blown out by Marist doesn't make any sense.

Our FOGO specialist, Dan O'Connell has been in the transfer portal (taking advantage of the extra year of eligibility) and he's going to DUKE for 2021 - Congrats ! he must be a good one. Lynskey and Mullaney still looking for a landing spot for '21.

Great news for these guys!
Again, goes to show the athletic disadvantages faced by a small liberal arts school.
