Playing against a short handed army team with only 3 league wins and just hanging on - count me as unimpressed with our effort tonight

Army got it down to a one point deficit, but they fouled Avery then Lauren. HC wins by three.

Avery launched a lay up while horizontal six inches off the floor with enough spin on it to wash a load of clothes, and then converted the "and one". We have to keep her for two more years. I am placing ADMB in charge of player retention during any coaching transition like no one was in charge of that when Carmody left. If he can't retain Avery, then don't bother getting a new Coach. It isn't worth it. HC 46-37 as Lauren and Avery take the game over. How do you know she likes or doesn't like the coach? What if the reality of the situation was "get rid of her or I'm out of here"? Just joking around.

Just joking around. Like everything else with BB at HC, it's a riddle wrapped in an enigma. With both a coach and player absent you could be on to something. I attended tonight's WBB game and afterward Coach Mac went to a radio interview with Unity Radio or the PLN, probably Unity Radio as the announcer was older. I've not listened to that station yet, but perhaps they asked her about her status or about Faulkner and Park's absense.

Faulkner not playing would at this point be a mandatory inquiry one would think.

Well, as she has actually played in one more game so far this year than last year, 18 vs 17, and we still don't have a clue what was the cause of her limited play last season, I expect your inquiry will go unanswered.

HC13 - can you suggest what the reason may be that she never appears on the bench when she’s not playing ? It’s more than some sort of injury that crops up every couple of weeks - very mysterious all around

Unfortunately, I don't know, but the fact that when she is able, she plays & typically plays 20+ mins, would suggest that there is not a chemistry issue with coaches or teammates. If it were an off the court issue, one would think she wouldn't be playing at all.

In other situations where she was hors-de-combat, did she also not show up for the games (or hide somewhere in the stands, I guess)?

She has done both. I have not seen her in the stands if she is not on the bench.

One possibility this time is concussion protocol. That's something that would keep you away from the gym in a lot of cases. And it could have happened in a practice where no one from the public saw it.

Faulkner not playing would at this point be a mandatory inquiry one would think. Who do you see conducting this "mandatory" inquiry....and from where would that mandate come (certainly not Crossports)?"

If I were a reporter or broadcaster covering the team (like Dick Lutsk for the men). One doesn't have to be out of line to ask such a question and plenty of ways to do it respectfully.

Watch any interview or press conference with the grim reaper of interviewees, Bill Belichick. It is almost universally accepted that while the press corps know they won't get an answer they "have" to ask the obvious questions. Why do they feel it is mandatory? It is an unwritten rule in the sports journalism world, like the unwritten rule a batter (except for Big Papi) doesn't stand and admire a monstrous home run because that shows up the pitcher.
Reporters are open to criticism by their peers (and their sub peers in sports talk radio) if they give a coach a pass and don't ask the difficult but pertinent questions.
