Colgate is now making SATs optional. How does this affect the A I?

I believe football and basketball recruits at SAT-optional Holy Cross still need to submit their scores in order for us to comply with the AI. Guess it will be the same at Colgate.

Never mind the AI, I think standardized tests are required for all athletes by the NCAA

Isn't the NCAA talking about dropping the SAT/ACT requirement for the coming year?

Isn't the NCAA talking about dropping the SAT/ACT requirement for the coming year? Yes I believe so . GPA will be benchmarks for eligibility I think.

Isn't the NCAA talking about dropping the SAT/ACT requirement for the coming year? As I understand it, this year only. After this year, student athletes at HC and Colgate will once again be required to submit standardized test scores, not only to satisfy Patriot League requirements but also NCAA requirements. Unless I missed the point that this year only athletes at HC and Colgate will still need to submit scores because the Patriot League still requires it for AI even though the NCAA has waived it for a year. If that the case, I will quote the great Emily Litella: "Never mind"

In an football environment where there is no real money involved, e.g., all of FCS football, it's ridiculous to have these insane NCAA rules. Let the colleges do what they want. There will always be some cheaters. So be it. Just don't schedule them.
