Devin Carney off the board to Elon. He sounded like a good one but I suspect all of the guards on our roster may have been a deterrant.

Devin Carney off the board to Elon. Second player that I remember that HC lost to Elon. Holy Cross was heavily recruiting Josh Bonney, who decided to become a Phoenix (Formerly Fighting Christians). elonphoenix.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/josh-bonney/2617I was hoping Devin Carney would enrolled at HC. His distant relative, William Carney, was the first African American to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor. He is the great great uncle of a very close friend of mine, who I talk to every day.

While researching offers across several schools in New England, I came across Ryan Dunn, who has been offered by Boston College, Fairfield, Minnesota, to name three among many. I found the HC logo with other schools on his Twitter Page. HC is not listed on his VC Page, but there is a logo on his Twitter Page. Hoops are you familiar? www.verbalcommits.com/players/ryan-dunn

I have heard of him, but since his new school, LI Lutheran, a top local and national team, played only a handful of games with no fans, I have not seen him. His NY Jayhawks grassroots team is a strong one. I see that he has 11-12 offers, so we are probably one of them. Brief Highlights from those few games www.hudl.com/profile/14562790/Ryan-Dunn

At age 17, I thought South Bend, IN was Worcester w/o hills (I had hardly been to Worcester at that point in my life, South Bend I only saw once, and not very much of). Wonder what I would think it was like today? Talking about the city only, not the college you may have heard of that's in that city The first time I drove through Waterbury, CT. on the interstate I thought it was Worcester. I'm sure Mayor Pete turned South Bend around. Ha,I had ths same reaction, only in reverse. I had been passing Waterbury for years on trips to Hartford and vacations in Maine. On one of those trips, I consulted my trusty AAA map and decided to cut through Worcester instead of taking the Turnpike all the way to 495. I got just past Fitton, looked to my left, and thought it looked just like Waterbury.

Lived in South Bend my last two years at ND. City was struggling as Studebaker had folded in 1963, the year before I arrived, making ND its largest employer. South Bend had virtually nothing to do with ND. I can't recall knowing even one South Bend native at the school; none of my friends ever dated a South Bend girl and virtually no one stayed there after graduation It was a pretty depressing place, all around. PS. Mayor Pete's Dad was in my class.

I eventually figured out it was a great way to get us to shut up for a while.

Nelson continues to build out a balanced roster, bringing in some needed shooting to create space for the slashing/athleticism across the roster.
Future is bright!

Looks like he held about 8 offers the highlight being George Washington.

The GW offer (in 2019) has likely been off the table for some time, but had more current ones from AU, BU, Robert Morris, and Siena.

Seems like a very solid pickup for HC. Glad to see Nelson and staff getting it done on the trail.

Welcome aboard Will!
I guess you could say he will fill the Ryan Wade slot. Hopefully he will be getting lots and lots of wide open looks down the road!
So, at this point there could be 2, 1, or zero open slots (depending on what GG and MT do after next year)? Sean Logan would round out things nicely imho.
I will NOT being going to a Governors' game next winter to check Will out. Last time I did the individual did not stay at HC too long. As my 92 year old mom still likes to say, "read about it in the papah!".

Liking what I'm seeing from looking through a few videos of Will Batch; just needs to build up the body a bit - and I think he chose the right place to do that.

NERR has him at #5 in MA and #15 in NE. Most encouraging Based on NERR’s reports on Batch, he has had a very impressive Spring and Summer at New England prep school signature events vs. excellent comp.
