It would have been nice if they spelled his name correctly. He was only the last NBA player from Holy Cross before Malcolm Miller. That might have been worth a mention.

I hate spelling and grammar mistakes. Still. before I'd declare the PR team incompetent I'd want to be able to cite a number of such errors.

At forward, six-foot five, and only a freshman, from Edison, New Jersey........... And as good a man as he was a player.

Thought McCaffrey was from Rutland, Vt. My commentary was supposed to be on the Garry Witts spotlight! Not sure how it showed up on Jimmy Mac’s.

He also hit the winning basket, a baseline jumper, to beat Southern Mississippi on the road. Dave had a very nice outside shot with some range. Dave is from the DC area, played at Georgetown Prep, and his brothers played for Villanova and Catholic. We actually recruited Mike for a period of time and Chris Logan, and Nova was doing the same. At some point in the process we went hard for Chris and Villanova pushed hard for Mike. Mike walked away with an NCAA ring. Dave has a son who played for Dartmouth.

I liked his play and always thought he should have been a starter his Jr. and Sr years.

Winning ECAC North or were we in the MAAC by that point? Beat Vermont at home; then Maine and BU (Ricky P coaching; Brett Brown, the Sixers coach, was one of the players) in Portland. HC never won the MAAC, believe they made the finals once, 1986. Best team we had in that league was 89-90; 12 team league, HC won one of the two divisions but lost to Fordham in the semis. We also had Tom Seaman in that class along w/Mulquin and Garry Witts. He had 3 good years after not playing much as a freshman (the kind of kid some other place would have redshirted and got 4 years out of).
