I just opened Notes of a Native Son by James Baldwin and was pleased to see there was an Introduction by Edward P. Jones (Class of '72). I imagine the book Fraternity has been discussed on Crossports. Jones mentions HC several times in his introduction (I didn't know that he lived in Beaven). Of course, it was a difficult time for black students at HC and every other college. I read Jones' book The Known World several years ago. It's brilliant.
