Assuming the Ivies decide not to play this fall, we should be lining up replacement games right now. We have options nearby with exactly the same needs as us.

If the ivies are not playing this fall, we are not (and should not) play this fall. why?? The PL schools are in different situations. Ivy schools are going back piecemeal ( Yale will not have a sophomore class this fall). Hard to play games with a whole class missing. I have not heard that PL will not return to class. If the students are back they should play.

Let the Ivies make all the bad decisions they want to make. We can think on our own and do the right thing.

I would hope the presidents in the PL don't mindlessly nod their head in agreement with whatever Larry Bacow and Peter Salovey decide to do.

Let the Ivies make all the bad decisions they want to make. We can think on our own and do the right thing. Amen. People need to stop acting like sheep. Mass. is in a much different situation compared to other hot spots in other parts of the country. The Ivies can continue to hide under their beds. Let’s not follow them as if they somehow have a better solution to the issue.

I posted on another thread that Cornell is following our model (they've determined keeping all kids on campus is better for the kids than sending a class or two home for the semester like Yale and Dartmouth are doing). As far as football goes, our Ivy envy can be a bit embarrassing sometimes so let's not be afraid to do the right thing with football even if it is not this year's Ivy model.

Give me a break this is a pandemic and your concern is whether FCS football will be played or not? Stop please. I'm not sure we will see professional sports while they might begin I doubt we have a season. How about we get through this and keep as many people healthy as possible and maybe sacrifice a little bit by doing what is best for everyone. It's like a picture I saw on Facebook of Homer Simpson that says all the scientists, doctors , and nurses saying wear a mask, stay six feet apart, that this is a pandemic and dangerous but all of these people that barely passed high school science say it's no big deal. I don't know who to believe. I hope being a graduate of Holy Cross your the guy listening to the experts.

Let the Ivy's makw their own choices. At this point Id be thrilled to have a season that included the PL slate (minus maybe Fordham), BC and Merrimack.

Sadly, some people and families are not surviving, despite not contracting the virus.

Even though Mass (and the rest of the region) is doing well, the progress we have made will undoubtedly be compromised by taking unnecessary risks.
