I learned while reading about a recruit that Rob Spence is now the offensive coordinator at Georgetown. He has been at many colleges in his coaching career, including HC. He was the quarterbacks coach at HC in 1991 and followed Duff to Maryland. I thought I was losing it because his Georgetown bio makes no mention of his year at HC. Luckily, I was able to find a 2005 release from Clemson when he was hired as offensive coordinator there. It included the following passage:
“In 1991, Spence coached the quarterbacks at Holy Cross under Duffner and helped the Massachusetts school to an 11-0 record and a number-three final national ranking. Holy Cross ranked fourth in the nation in total offense and ninth in passing at the I-AA level that year.“

What is he doing at Georgetown?
On an unrelated note, I've always wondered how coaches at schools like Fordham and Georgetown offset their living expenses? Paying an astronomical amount of money to live in the DC area to coach at Georgetown seems like it would be a tough sell. No?

Fordham and Boston University appear to give their coaches a geographic cost-of-living bump in compensation. If one were willing to live in not so close in suburbs to Georgetown, e.g., Gaithersburg, housing costs are such that a coach wouldn't need a bump.
