One would be on Mattt Faw’s chances of reaching 1000 points He needs 395. His average would have to significantly improve from last season’s 8.6. Another is Austin’s hope for 1500 points. He needs 436. His season high was in his junior year— 415 in 33 games. Reaching 500 rebounds would need 69. His lowest total was 110 in freshman year in 30 games.

The 1,500 points will be tough but the 500+ rebounds looks likely. AB would become only the 9th Crusader with 1500 points and 500 boards.

Well, a 20 game season would mean Matt has to average 20 ppg to make it.
25 games, 16.
No chance of the former happening; the latter, I think, is possible.

It isn't often a player doubles his junior year output. We're also talking about a kid who picks up at least one ticky-tack foul a game because he has a reputation as a fouler. If Faw is going to double last year's point total he needs to be on the court more. Fewer fouls and fewer "reputation fouls"

Not sure about the reputation fouls. I am not sure we have the same officials in enough games to warrant that happening. He makes the same fouls often.

First 15 games, averaged 4 ppg. Injuries no doubt played a role along w/foul trouble.
Last 15 games, averaged 13 ppg. From that to 16 ppg a much more reasonable expectation. And, the last 15 games were all conference games.
But, you are right, fouls kill the young man.

My guess Is that the shots this season will be spread around much more than last season when the team was decimated, thus making it more difficult for any one player to average 15-16 ppg.
