Without wandering too far from the thread I see that one BC QB, a Fordham Prep Redshirt Sophomore named Matt Valecce, is now buried (3rd?/4th?) on the BC QB depth chart. I read about him when he was a talented high-schooler and I think HC offered him. The more-talented Notre Dame transfer (also a RS Soph, BTW) may have caught him off guard. What does a kid like Valecce do in a situation like that? And the BC backup came in and got a huge fourth down conversion with 3 or 4 minutes left. Hafley will not be at BC long and will be getting a bigger job real soon

Those two were battling for the starting position (with Jurkovec the clear winner) and Grosel had even started a bit last year. Next on the depth chart is RS FR Johnson and they've got high school QB sensation Delaportas heading in next year with no QBs graduating. Agree that things move quickly nowadays in the coaching ranks and Hafley has shown he can recruit (and that is the name of the game).

Yeah ok. Pump the brakes. He's 4-3 in first season. Really? They lost to Clemson last season 59-7 in Chestnut Hill and lost to Kansas 48-24. His record might only be 4-3 but he doesn't have as many gimme OOC games to bump up his record (only played Texas State OOC).

The aggregate record of the four squads BC has beaten this year so far is a a whopping 8-21, but keep honking their horn if it makes you happy.

What?
Yes or no - did the #1 pick in the 2021 NFL draft (if he declares) play in Saturday's game?

The ACC is Clemson, Notre Dame as a visitor and a bunch of teams who are equally mediocre to pretty bad. Middle and bottom of the AAC is better than this collection of schools.

So glad I'm not participating in this "pick 'em" contest. Suspect I might have gotten some off-target yellow stains from the participants on my leg.
