They have significantly more speed. I thought the team played well given the match-up

So is Q better in 2020 than Minnesota was when we beat them in the NCAA tournament?
Just seems that HC athletics have gone downhill in all but football under Chesney.

Tough day for our skaters as the women took it on the chin this afternoon at UNH 6-2

We picked up a game on Sunday vs Colgate at home (tough for the kids to be on campus for Christmas but such is life to stay safe) The raiders are a team without a league when the ivies bailed on the ecac hockey this winter - I think they’ve played clarkson twice so far

Great to see Colgate on the schedule.
The four Patriot League schools who play hockey should meet each year in a tournament for the Director’s Cup. The site could rotate or be held either at the DCU or Agganis Arena.

BU won't be interested...very few OOC games in college hockey and with BU having two beanpot games, a yearly matchup with Harvard, it is tough to see them scheduling three more games against PL hockey teams.

Even Colgate, a core founding member of the PL didn't seem to have much interest in playing HC in hockey before this year when their league games were cancelled.

^ scheduling is a 2 way street. What makes you think HC is yearning to play 'gate every yr?

It's a 6 hour trip to the frozen middle of nowhere. The program already takes enough trips of that variety. There's a boatload of ECAC opponents in Mass/CT/RI/NH, none more than 2 1/2 hours away.

Colgate has generally been a higher ranked team than HC. HC has more to gain by playing Colgate than they have by playing HC I thought. However, looking at last year's eight non-conference games there aren't any that Colgate would be a significant improvement on. We are able to schedule local ECAC and Hockey East non-conference games. Simon Fraser, the U.S. Developmental team and Arizona State all came to Worcester so those are more attractive than driving through the Upstate New York snow belt. Hockey has it easier than BB in scheduling OOC games that are an upgrade in competition over their league schedule.

Simon Fraser does NOT play NCAA hockey and the only reason the USNTP played at Holy Cross is the Berard connection. Recognize who they played the day before?

Last year: Oct 11 PC vs HC. Oct12 PC vs US National Developmental team. Oct 13 HC vs US National Developmental team. Very efficient. The Sader 1970 Highway, Rte. 146 got the job done.
