Is the ball advanced to half court? It is in NCAA women, however. One NBA rule that I pray is never adopted by NCAA men.

What a win for such a young squad in their second game. Looks like we have a closing duo in Gates and Butler offensively. That’s how you get the job done

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How great does it feel to watch a game down the stretch all stressed, rather than watching with a sense of resignation. Go Cross Go!!

Huge win! Major clutch plays by Austin and Gates at the end.

ESPN+ was great too.
Must have been an HC/Worcester issue yesterday.

HC, 45.8 FG% BU, 36.9%
Holy Cross with 6-1 edge in steals - every one of them seemed big.

While 2-0 would have been great, following up yesterday's 2nd half meltdown with a gutsy road win today is almost just as impressive for such a young team.
Future is bright!

Biggest win in a long time---well, the only win in a long time, I guess. Still-a huge win for HC!!!

Great win. Austin Butler is tough as nails. Guy plays like Marcus Smart. Gerrale "The Bayou Bruiser" Gates was phenomenal. Big time players get it done on both ends of the court and thats just what he did today.
Tough performance all around. Love the grit these past two games. Martindale showed he is silky and how about this kid Johnson?! Great job as a freshman

Martindale showed his stuff and now it makes sense why he started yesterday. It was clear yesterday Gates will see great success in the PL. Those two are examples of the sort of talent upgrades we needed to get out of the PL basement.

I must admit that after yesterday's second half I thought that we could possibly get blown out today! Very happy to be WRONG!!! LIKE WHAT I AM SEEING FROM THIS YOUNG GROUP!!! And a road win to boot!!!

Now let’s bench RJ and Martindale for the rest of season so they won’t be recruited out of here. 😁

Gates - 19p, 7r Butler - 18p, 7r Martindale - 16p
Unsung hero - Ryan Wade, with 4r, 4a (game-high), and very good defense, which is why Nelson had him in down the stretch.

If this is the real Judson Martindale, and I think it is, the future is really bright indeed

Martindale and his long arms on the in-bounder the key Cheeky move by Nelson initially showing no defender on the baseline, but then calling a timeout and putting Martindale on the inbounder.

It looked as if the last out of bounds play was run for Judson to be the safety valve In the backcourt Next time he will make the FT

Everyone takes 500 FTs tomorrow. Making free throws in practice isn't the same as making them in a game unless you are Roger Breslin or RP Jr.

What a great defensive play by AB at the end.
I finally figured out who GG reminds me of (and it goes back a ways). Back in the early 90's Seton Hall had a 6-7 monster from St. Anthony's named Jerry Walker (played on a team with Terry Dehere, before George Blaney arrived). An agile bull......GG is a slightly smaller version.
