Does the PL require running plays to be run out of the shotgun formation?

Gift wrapped the ball in Lehigh territory and it’s another three and Ng to save the day. Time to give someone else a try back there.

If that was a 51 yard FG, I think that is a new Holy Cross record.

From a Pop Warner punt reception by the Lehigh returner to an NFL field goal by NG. Welcome to Spring FCS football. I love it.

Don't understand TG's clock management. It's not like spring games are 120 minutes to work the rust off. He doesn't get that last offensive play of the quarter back.

Sadly you could ask that question about most every ball he’s thrown.

206 yards today. Fewest total yards in a win since...?
Also, Lehigh only had 137 yards of total offense. When was the last time we held an opponent to a total like that? Georgetown in 2007?

The defense gave up 24 yards on the ground in 33 attempts
Defensive line played really well, and Jacob Dobbs is a monster behind them

Our offensive line and defense look good....No idea why with this OL why we insist upon running everything out of the shotgun.

Congrats HC!
This about what expected! Most knew heading into the spring Lehigh has major issues at OL and QB along with a suspect head coach (the biggest issue). Simply avoiding an 0-4 spring season will be an accomplishment. Gilmore basically used the second half an "experimental" session by inserting their 3rd string QB and running out the 3rd quarter clock.
HC has a solid team and will battle Colgate for the title. With that said, if they want to make waves nationally they must get better play QB play. If Colgate can keep Breneman healthy that could could prove to be a huge advantage for the Raiders.
Lehigh plays Colgate next week. I expect Colgate to handle Lehigh with ease as well....

If that was a 51 yard FG, I think that is a new Holy Cross record. Sorry to quote myself -- a check of the Holy Cross record book indicates that the previous "longest field goal" was Matt Partain, a 49-yarder against Dartmouth in 2007. So, Derek Ng's 51-yarder today is both a Holy Cross record and a Goodman Stadium record.

Defense is aggressive, creative, and fun to watch.
The offense is the complete opposite — tentative and predictable.
17 of our 20 points were scored on Lehu turnovers on the HC side of the field, and Lehu only got 3 points off two HC turnovers on the Lehu side of the field. We should not have had to rely on such a wide turnover discrepancy to beat that team.

Holy Cross has some good players on defense (Dobbs is a monster) but I'd wait until they play even an "average" offense. Lehigh's offense is inept under Gilmore and OC Brisson; definitely among the worst in FCS.
This is Lehigh's point totals under their regime; 12 games...
13, 10, 13, 10, 21, 30 (OT), 27, 17, 10, 6, 16, 3
