tomorrow is obviously hyperbole, but they would be nationally relevant before long

BC hired C of Charleston's Grant....any idea if Schmidt at St Bonnies (a BC alum) wanted the job?

Perhaps the third time will be the charm in Beantown. He will hold the long awaited press conference he promised when he left the Celtics (in shambles).

^ What are you talking about? BC made their hire, and it isn't the guy some here are obsessed with.

On a more pertinent note, I saw Pitino's interview last night.
He, said, in so many words, that the goal he had at Iona was to upgrade the schedule so that, in effect, the MAAC was a two bid league (i.e., when they won the conf. tournament, great; but if they didn't, they had a resume that would draw attention from the selection committee).
He then listed some good games they had set for next year.
I hope Marcus Blossom and Brett Nelson were taking notes. Maybe 2021-2 is not the year for HC to do that, but, very soon.

BC hired C of Charleston's Grant....any idea if Schmidt at St Bonnies (a BC alum) wanted the job? Hard to say. He's 58 and seems to love his current job. Bona has jumped through hoops trying to pay him, and his total compensation is supposedly just north of $1 million. My guess is that BC would have had to offer something closer to $2 million to tempt him.

Wonder if Schmidt still has family ties to this area? Sometimes we think that someone's going to come back to his/her roots but then you find out that everyone else has moved on and there's no "there" there any more.

I think he does but uncertain...played against Mark when he was in HS at Feehan....let's just say I once got a hit off him in baseball Raised the question on the BC board and the consensus was he was happy at St Bonnie's.

Can put this thread to bed. BC made their hire. Wasn't Schmidt, wasn't Pervtino, and will never be either.
