Bucknell not saying they’re hosting. At least not yet.

Maybe there's a hotel in the Poconos that's empty that would like a party of 100 or so for a week? Then bus to Lewisburg.
If they really want to play this damn game.

Heard that we are definitely traveling to Bucknell next. BS move by the Patriot League. Bring any information showing that you’ve been vaccinated and fill the stands at Bucknell. Support the team. More reason to leave this minor league. Total disrespect to the past champions especially since the league took games away from us.

F the PL. We’ll play anyone anywhere and at any time. If we’re going to Lewisburg, I say we take no prisoners, and stick it to ‘em like never before.

Bucknell’s policy is that no visiting team fans are allowed, period, whether vaccinated or not. Unless that has changed, or is going to change in the next couple of days, there won’t be any HC fans in attendance. But, Bucknell does permit their own fans to attend. What an embarrassment for the PL and a nationally televised game. Amazing...

They can try the veal and tip the waitress while at the hotel in the Poconos. And yes, they really want to play this game and keep on playing.

Needs to get figured out. Game should be at HC and, if not, a neutral site, never, ever at Bucknell. AD needs to say no.

I actually have friends who own a hotel in the Poconos. Middle of nowhere. Big ballroom to watch film. Could be a good fit. Would have to use the local high school field for practice.

The Fordham team was singing their fight song to someone so we need to pressure the league to allow Holy Cross fans especially parents in the game. They’ve already screwed us for playing at Bucknell so at least let us root for our team. Since when did FN Bucknell start controlling the situation. We need to really crush this team. They looked weak against Fordham.

Having calmed down a bit, I was thinking that the only logical reason for the PL Championship game being at Bucknell would be that if HC is not cleared to play next weekend, Bucknell could slide another team (I assume Fordham) into that slot and if they are the home team anyway the PL doesn’t have to make any last minute changes about the venue of the game that might affect the television broadcast partners, which I assume needs to know where to set up in preparation for the game by mid-week at the latest. That’s the only logical reason I can see at the moment.

Then call the CAA and ask if HC can join their league for football. Screw the Patriot League. Army and Navy want us for All sports other than football. Fordham wants the league for All sports bur basketball same with Georgetown. BU with every sport but football. What kind of misconbobulated league is that.

The most logical reason is that the HC campus is currently on lockdown and Bucknell’s is not. If I’m a betting man, I’m saying HC and Bucknell do not play next weekend. Hope I’m wrong.

While it stinks, I like it, especially with Chesney driving the bus. This group, Covid permitting, will be ready and motivated.
If we are unable to play is there a championship game? Is that Bucknell vs Fordham? Or does the PL declare the game today the championship game and send Fordham?

This will result in a fraudulent champion being crowned either way, which is a rather fitting way to end this spring “season” in my opinion.

It’s not fraudulent if the best team The Holy Cross Crusaders win it.
If anybody else does it’s fraudulent!

Game at Bucknell? Possibly, it might be perfect bulletin board material, not that HC needs any extra motivation to kick their butt. Next, the small minded Pennsylvania centered PL will penalize HC for being too good and winning too any championships.

All I know is that the school should set a date (June 1, July 1, whatever), a date by which time all athletes, coaches and students will have had the opportunity to have been vaccinated.
After that date, business as usual, more or less. No restrictions other than a few common sense modifications to what used to be the norm before 3/15/2020.
I understand why there have been so much caution and so many rules; but this has to stop !

The venue makes for good motivation but it is mostly irrelevant as HC beat FU, FU beat Bucknell, so we should beat Bucknell even if the game is played on the moon...where with the lower gravity Sluka would really run wild.
Bucknell only has a few plays of film on Sluka. Should be fun.

HOLY CROSS IS NOT ALLOWING HOLY CROSS STUDENTS WHO LIVE OFF-CAMPUS TO COME ON CAMPUS. SO WHY WOULD A VISITING FOOTBALL TEAM BE ALLOWED TO COME ON CAMPUS IF THE COLLEGE'S OWN STUDENTS CANNOT?
