Kalif has caught 1 pass for no gain. He's returned two punts--one for 49 yards, the other for 4.

Ridiculous that they don’t throw to him.

I was watching some Red Zone yesterday.
Saw a long pass by Goff to Kalif down the middle of the field - Raymond had 5 yards on the defender. The ball was so underthrown that Kalif essentially had to stop - the defender closed the five yards and broke up the pass. If Goff could have hit him in stride it was a TD

Kalif's 48 yard punt return is the longest by any NFL player so far this season. Career-wise his 9.1 yards per return would put him in top 200 if he had enough attempts

You would think that a team, especially one going nowhere, would give a player with Kalif’s proven separation as a WR, and his stats as a pr, FAR more touches.

You would think that a team, especially one going nowhere, would give a player with Kalif’s proven separation as a WR, and his stats as a pr, FAR more touches. Among WR on the Lions, Kalif has the most targets, touchdowns, and receiving yards. After Hockensen (TE) and Swift (RB), Kalif is the top target. The Lions are bottom five in the league in both total yards and points, so opportunities are limited when they can't consistently move the ball.

I watched a lot of the Lions game as it was just a comedy of errors, and I also had a lot of fantasy juice relying on the game on both sides. Jared Goff looked better only than Mike White... he was HORRIBLE. He's been poor most of the season.

Looking forward to the day when Kalif has a starting role AND a QB who can get him the ball down the field.

Here’s one Twitter user who definitely blames Goff for Kalif not being more productive.

Goff not playing. We will see if the back up can target Kalif Tim Boyle, who threw one TD and 13 interceptions at UConn before transferring to Eastern Kentucky, will get the start. He does reportedly have a big arm so hopefully he won’t underthrow Kalif.

For the life of me I can't figure out how a guy with that record (also 48.4% completion percentage and 4.5 yards per attempt) made the pros. Maybe he had big stats at EKU?

Boyle must have a tremendous arm and thus be considered high potential. Perhaps it's like the wild baseball pitcher who, nevertheless, can throw in the upper 90's so teams are willing to try to teach him control.

Maybe one positive is that the number of picks he threw in college suggests he’s not afraid to take chances down the field.

With Myles Garrett and Jadaveon Clowney at defensive end and Taylor Decker back in the lineup but still banged up, it is unlikely that any Lion QB tomorrow will have much time to throw. Still, Boyle does have a bigger arm than Goff and I am interested to see him in action. If he has any time to throw, he is less likely than Goff to underthrow Kalif who is in the top 10 in the league in getting separation in one-on-one man coverage.

Another long punt return---22 yards. Has been targeted only once for a pass and no reception. Start of the fourth quarter
EDIT: Punt return changed to 17 yards

Wow-- Boyle went 15 for 23 (sounds good) for, not a typo, 77 yards. He threw no TD's but 2 interceptions. Looks like he completed only short passes, most to the TE
