“Fordham linebacker Ryan Greenhagen tied the NCAA Division I record for tackles in a single game with 30 during a 52-7 loss to Nebraska on Saturday. No one else in the game had more than eight tackles as the Patriot League Preseason Defensive Player of the Year dominated for his unit.
The performance made Greenhagen the fourth FCS player to ever reach 30 tackles since NCAA defensive statistics became official in 2000. “

Greenhagen is good, but it is hard to say a defensive player "dominated" anything when his team gave up 52 points.

There goes any chance for an HC defender to win the PL DPoW award.

Not a good day for the PL--Holy Cross was the only win all afternoon. Yes, but an FBS pelt is worth two FCS OOC wins.

The Gilmore hire was egregious! He's simply incompetent as a head coach. His staff is filled with subpar assistances who have no, or very limited upward mobility. This is likely going to be a historically bad season for Lehigh football. I don't see Sterrett and some of the influential alumni (thankfully some are still alive) keeping Gilmore past this year. This is headed down that type of road....

Nova’s loaded (if one considers 22 of 22 starters returning from a good team to be loaded) so I wouldn’t give up on some PL wins just yet.

Good point about Lehigh. TG does have a way to get his players up for special games and he did seem total full responsibility for this loss. I believe UConn has given up on their coach, but I do. not see that yet at Lehigh.

GoCrossGo! Yes, Would like the PL to move up the conference rankings in FCS. Fordham and HC can help that begin this year. It's great to have the Rams in PL FB.

We know Bucknell was shut out at SHU - I see bison 137 posting this ominous report from the post game injury report - seems they don't have the depth necessary to succeed
"BU's top few players, the starting QB and their best OL, went down with serious injuries. On top of that, their best DL is out for at least much of the season and they also were missing their top WR. (Not to mention one of the top Bison WR's in decades transferring to Rutgers over the summer.) This will be very much a rebuilding season, with the huge amount of graduated talent plus the injuries."

I think this week will be a bettah barometer of where the PL is this year in football. The majority of the games were "reach" games for the league last week.
The most interesting game this week is Monmouth-Fordham imo.
