I think I've seen enough and it's time to go take the dog for a walk.
The defense knows Merrimack is just going to keep the ball on the ground and we were out-toughed and got bullied for a first down. Really bad.
Fortunately, the PL is pretty much the worst FCS conference.

Worst loss in the schoarship-era for HC football and it's not really close

I’m pretty much done with the Sluka running plays down 21 in the 4th But that just me. No, that's me, too.

“Any time you get to go 1-0 is a big deal,” Chesney said. “I think going 1-0 against an FBS opponent is a big deal. It’s something that hasn’t been done here since 2002, and that team might have beaten Army, but then went (4-8). I don’t think this is any time to relax or feel good about ourselves, or be in a situation where complacency sets in. That’s just not who we are or what we’re made of. We moved on very, very quickly after (the UConn) game.”

Our defensive line has been exposed today. Too small and consistently getting blown off the ball all day long. Tough day for #92 Having undersized DBs all over the field doesn’t help either.

If HC has a shuttle bus back to the dorms, time to start it.

When was the last time a 28 point favorite lost by 21 points at home?

As others pointed out, we aren't quick out of the backfield and our QB's arm is suspect. And those are just our glaring offensive holes. Might still be at/near the top of the PL which says something about the PL .

This was really impressive by Merrimack when you look at how their offense totally carved us up. In the first half, they shredded us in the air. In the second half after getting out to a three score lead, they just grinded the game away on the ground. Even when we knew they were going to run, they bullied us.
Pretty disappointing, but a tip of the hat needs to be given to the Merrimack coaching staff and team. They seemed more talented and certainly better coached today.

Not even close I thought Merrimack wasn't worthy of playing Holy Cross...They were not good enough in many posters minds. Guess they were VERY WRONG!

Like I said at halftime. Needed to make the change then for this game. Too late. But he looks like are only option to utilize the most of our talented WR corp. another fail by Chesney today.

Lol. Georgetown is tied up with Delaware State who barely beat D2 Bowie State

I said they were more dangerous than many people were led to believe. This is Merrimack's THIRD ever FCS victory in my mind as four of their victories in 2019 came against D-2 teams or a FCS team that just moved up from D-2 in LIU.

Here is one crossports.freeforums.net/post/200147/threadAnd I called it back in 2020 that Merrimack would beat Holy Cross in the 2020 season. Just a little pandemic got in the way. crossports.freeforums.net/post/143743/threadSo yea, I pretty much called it.
