HC - Loss (35-21) to Merrimack. Merrimack rushed for 200 and threw for 259. Enough said on other threads.
Fordham - Tough loss (26-23) to Monmouth. DeMorat threw for 352 yards (3TD, 0 INT)
Lafayette - Loss (24-3) to William and Mary
Lehigh - Loss (31-3) to Richmond.
Colgate - Loss (24-3) to SBU. SBU only threw 11 times (140 yards) and rushed for 287 in this one-sided affair.
Bucknell - Loss (55-3) to Villanova. Nova scored six straight times (5 touchdowns) and was up 45-0 at the half, called off the dogs early, and used 3 QB's and all 75 players. .
Georgetown - Win (20-14, Overtime) over Delaware State
1 PL win this week and 1 PL win the first week.
Several PL teams do face off against Ivy teams next week (week 3). On a hopeful note, those Ivy teams have not played a game since November of 2019.

I watched parts of those CAA games and that scoring differential could have been much, much worse.

W&M got a TD pass on a long ball throw that bounced off a receiver lying flat on his back....to another guy running by. Made Sports Center.

PL’s only victory yesterday was an overtime nail-biter v Delaware State. Think about that one for a while.

In two weeks, the overall PL record is 2 wins, 11 defeats. PL teams have been outscored by roughly 80-380. (Taking out 100 points for predictable blow-out losses to BC and Nebraska brings the point against total down to about 280...still an awful disparity.) I haven't seen any of these games, but I expect those who say the victors elected to call off the hounds early in some of these contests are probably correct. Even granting that there was no way a PL team was going to win a few of these games (e.g., Nebraska, BC, and (perhaps) Air Force), this is an indisputably miserable record.
The PL seems to be doing an increasingly poor job of attracting the kind of players required to be competitive with the league's erstwhile northeastern rivals. Key question are why that is and what can be done to improve recruiting across the league.

The PL seems to be doing an increasingly poor job of attracting the kind of players required to be competitive with the league's erstwhile northeastern rivals. Key question are why that is and what can be done to improve recruiting across the league. The PL has almost as tough admission requirements for athletes as the IL with not nearly as much to attract recruits we compete with them for. And the PL has tougher admission requirements for athletes than many of our non-Ivy erstwhile northeastern rivals. If athletic talent was looked at as a unique and special skill that added to an applicant's competitive strengths against other applicants in the admissions process it could upgrade the skill level of PL teams but it opens another can of worms and that approach has been opted out of by the PL.
