Is Bassett not reading your other post?
Now my head tells me I should pick Monmouth but sticking with Holy Cross. We need to play close to a perfect game.

Fordham game v SBU this week will tell us how dangerous Fordham is. Stony Brook is at the bottom of CAA and lost to UNH. At the same time SBU had absolutely no problem walloping the slow-footed Colgate team (outrushing them 271-52, for example) .
If Fordham wins they are very good for a PL team and we could be facing some very real trouble later on.

SBU v. Fordham game will be interesting but I would submit we already know Fordham is good and going to be really tough to beat (just from the spring game) and Fordham v Monmouth which was completely even stat wise with Monmouth winning a back and forth game 26-23 (costly penalties killed Fordham).
Our game vs Monmouth will tell us even more. Still, I tend to believe (like Chesney) that each game is a one week season with its own narrative (hence why all our players post “1-0” in social media after EACH/EVERY WIN). And match ups between teams matter a hell of a lot more than how teams play a common opponent.

In MMA they say "styles make fights." Each opponent tries to get the fight into their wheelhouse.
