The Merrimack QB was easily the best we've faced so far this year....

Fordham pulling ahead of Stony Brook, 27-7 late in the 3rd. Laffy looks as if it may take down Penn.

UConn came oh so close against undefeated Wyoming (4-0) today, losing 24-22. They could be turning the corner.

Impressed by the Nova score. Wouldn't want a first round match-up in suburban Philly.

Georgetown failed to defend the "Lou Little Trophy" (which is a real trophy) before 3723 today against Columbia at Robert Kraft Field at Wien Stadium.
Today was the sixth rendition of the trophy series which the Hoyas have won three times. A much better batting average than HC in the Turnpike Trophy competition. Lou Little coached both Georgetown and Columbia.

Lafayette 24 Penn 14 Fordham 31 SBU 14. SBU fumbled away the opening kickoff deep in their own territory to start the game, Fordham scored five plays later. Things stayed positive for the Rams. DeMorat has an impressive arm (threw 4 TD's, no INT and 280 yards passing) - no surprise there. SBU dominated time of possession (23 to 36 mins) and outgained Fordham overall 426-385. Greenhagen looked pretty good on D but DeMorat was their star this game.

How did Greenhagen look compared to Jake ?

Thoughts:
Don't ever remember a weekend when PL teams beat three ooc opponents from stronger conferences - yday was Big South, CAA and Ivy - finally a positive weekend Will Gilmore see the door mid-season for the 2nd time ? 101 yards of total offense in a game Lehigh was not competitive vs. Colgate - can't get much worse in Bethlehem Before the league season really gets underway I'm ready to crown co Defensive Players of the Year - Dobbs and Greenhagen - neither should be denied On Nov 13th we probably will play in front of the 2nd sellout of the season in the Bronx when we face Fordham, in a likely championship battle (altho Lafayette might have something to say about that)

How did Greenhagen look compared to Jake ? Yesterday, seeing much of the HC game and all (in person) of the Fordham game, I’d say Dobbs had a slightly better game in the respective victories.

I may be over complicating this as he may have been hired as simply the best qualified applicant, but I got the sense whoever made the hiring decision had comfort with TG and his long tenure and understanding of PL/Ivy level football. Newer decision makers might have an easier time pulling the trigger.

They're removing sharp objects from the Lehigh dining hall. I actually hate to see it. I get no pleasure seeing another PL team be this bad.

I just heard from a reliable source that Lehigh has only 7 seniors and 2 5th year players where other PL schools have many more due to the pandemic. With that inexperience, TPTB at Lehigh might give TG a slightly longer leash. We'll see. You know, a coach needs to have all his own players to be successful. I know I've heard that somewhere before.

As much as I am a Gilmore loyalist, I'm pretty sure the majority of Lehigh football supporters would absolutely mutiny if he stays on beyond this season. Lehigh needs to move on. It was a bad hire, as much as many of us here wish him and a number of his assistants there success and good luck (minus beating HC of course).
