Talk about a gloomy headline:” Misery continues for winless Lehigh football in dismal 34-0 defeat to Yale” And the first two paragraphs might be worse: The Lehigh football program is making history, but it’s not the kind of history that will be fondly remembered.
The Mountain Hawks lost 34-0 to Yale Saturday afternoon at Goodman Stadium, marking their fifth consecutive loss this season and their 12th in a row dating back to the middle of the 2019 season.
It ties the 1925-26 teams for the longest skid in school history. Lehigh lost the last five games of the 1925 season and the first seven of the 1926 campaign.
The Mountain Hawks, who have scored just nine points and no touchdowns this season, can set a new school mark for futility with a loss at historic Franklin Field next Saturday when the team plays Penn.I guess it’s schadenfreude but it reminds us things could be a lot worse at HC. www.mcall.com/sports/college/mc-spt-lehigh-yale-college-football-20211002-hzrq5v7lw5dhbhbv6wxmxs7ng4-story.html

Rams won iit 42-41 Fordham laid down and let Laf score with a minute left when the ‘Pards could have let the clock run down and kick a short fg to win. With the score 41-36 the Rams marched down the field and scored for the 42-41 win Big blunder by coach Garrett

Both Lafayette and Fordham had 500 yards of offense. Davis, the Leopards freshman QB was 20 of 28 for 354 yards, two TDs and no picks. (There is a senior Laffy QB also named Davis.) DeMorat had 305 passing yards. Fordham rushed for 214 net yards, Lafayette for 145 net yards.
The passing game opened up the run game. Snead, for Fordham, rushed for a net 147 yards. Simpson for Lafayette for a net of 110.

Going into the game having read different articles I expected more out of the Laffy defense-I turned on the game following the HC game and wasn’t overly impressed. Both QBs played well and as PP said the air game opened up running lanes.
Greenhagen was injured on a kickoff and was helped off the field and into the locker room. The Fordham defense suffers without him on the field and if he is out they might struggle a bit

He is clearly a defensive "presence" and his loss would hurt the Rams. I do pray that his injury is not too serious.

Lehigh may be the worst team in D-1 and weaker than the worst teams of Georgetown's weakest years.
I can only imagine what Lafayette is going to do to Lehigh in "the game".
