I no longer understand the liturgical reasoning behind such things, but because this wonderful Feast Day falls on a Monday this year, it is not a Holy Day of Obligation. I nevertheless suspect that attendance at Mass tomorrow to pray for the souls of the many “saints” who have touched our lives and enriched our faith would be a right, proper and faithful remembrance.

My wife and I will be at Mass on this Holy Day as well. I ceased to feel any "obligation" many years ago. I believe many Catholics feel as I do, but the Bishops still seem to believe that Catholics will attend or not attend Mass based on their edicts. Perhaps they should consider joining the 21st century.

Bishops these days have to be team builders like Coach Chesney.

I agree, but they do not to seem to be aware of that.

In an era of declining vocations, most parishes only have one priest. As a result many parishes do not have Mass every day. If a parish doesn't have Mass on Mondays, you might have to go looking to find an All Saints Day Mass. Not particularly spiritual, but I will be helping the neighborhood kids celebrate the vigil by distributing chocolate
