I see that the game is another 1 pm start. Does Bucknell have lights ? I do not understand why any eastern afternoon game in late November does not start at noon or 12:30 at the latest. Bucknell has lights. The HC team celebration photo at the end of the game will be well lit.

Still no reason to play an afternoon game in the colder (central Pennsylvania) twilight or dark of late November after 4 pm.even with lighting. See Fordham last Saturday. Is there a good reason not to start at 12 or 12:30 ?

It would appear that the Bucknell coach has given up on the season or at least this game based on the 2-deep for this game:
Offense starters: 5 freshmen 4 sophomores 1 junior 1 senior
Defense starters: 3 freshmen 4 sophomores 3 juniors 1 senior

Goals for today: 1) Win convincingly 2) Shorten the game by establishing the run and high % short/intermediate passes 3) Minimize injures (not much control over this, except get our 1’s out of the game by blowing them out in the first 2-3 quarters. Pat McMurtrie got rolled on late in the 4th quarter last week, arguably shouldn’t have still been in the game)
When Sluka is in, we have to still let Matt be Matt. IMO, one of the main reasons we lost the Merrimack game (from an offensive perspective) was we were trying to make him a pocket passer that game. If he’s playing, let him do his thing…run his offense.

Are you thinking of the WWII German dive bomber by any chance or the Crusader QB, Sluka?

The broadcast of the Lafayette game took 3 hours & 4 minutes, Lehigh was 3 hours & 14 minutes Telecast time, which probably included a few minutes at the end, was 3:08. So, game over at 4:05.
