I’ve been seeing a lot of promos highlighting the free admission for the game from HC on my e-mail and social media. But, I haven’t seen any mention of the proof of vaccination requirement in any of them. I hope this doesn’t cause problems for too many people. I'd say they lifted that requirement, but we're in an uptick right now so that appears unlikely. Probably typical lack of attention to detail by the HC Athletic Dept. Why don't they have a buddy system where one staff person is assigned to read every email written by his/her "buddy" before it's sent and vice versa. Amazing what a second set of eyes picks up.

If the mandate were lifted, I think we'd have heard about it

Why does Holy Cross have more Division 3 teams on their schedule than Assumption?

Because they scheduled them. Why does Assumption have more Div 2 teams on their schedule?

Yup. The answers to both questions are obvious. Why then ask the first question? Why IMHO because it makes HC look bad. There does not seem to be any other reason.

The fact that they have two D3 teams on the schedule is bad. In your opinion I have no doubt that is correct. However, unless you know of Div 1 teams HC could have played on those dates but passed up, you may be dealing more with fanasy than fact. If those were the only teams available on those dates, it is not bad. It is then necessary...and, IMO, better than open dates.

Well, I know for a fact that Nelson sent out an email blast to all D-3 coaches in New England looking for games....

That strategy for this team at this stage of development has pros and cons, but it's not off the wall.

Mostly cons I would think. Having a 3-29 record the season before last probably didn’t have a lot of potential D1 opponents ringing Nelson’s phone off the hook.
While I’ll be going to the game this afternoon in support of the players, I’d be just as happy with an open date than playing another D3 team.
I realize some think a win would be a confidence builder, but really? It would be a false confidence.

Fordham still enforcing vaccine mandates and proof of negative test for anyone under 12 (including children under 2). While they haven't changed the policy on paper, they've gotten much more lax with enforcement. No one asked for my vaccination card at Jack Coffee and surprisingly not at Rose Hill either when I went for a basketball game last week.

Playing two D3 teams is a joke. We need a better schedule.

Make some noise for me, Sader; guys still need the support. I actually have the day off, but have to take the newest member of the family to a doctor's appointment (mom's adopted cat Kinsey - as far as I know she is not named after former Sader Greg).

I don't like the D-3 games either.....but based on what I've seen so far, if there was ever a year for a scheduled put together by Hostess, this is it.

Dave, if you were a real dog person you'd tell the cat to find her way to the vet herself as you had much more important things to do today! I'm kidding. I understand familial obligations even for the non-human members. My younger son will be taking my better half's seat today. Though a Stag alum, I think we can count on him to cheer for the Crusaders.

At least there, we are talking scholarship teams. D 3 games seem pointless to me.

Enjoy the game; see you Saturday I'm sure!

Saturday for sure as we'll be up to Fitton for the football game and at least 3, maybe 4, will make the trek up the hill for the 5:00 pm tip-off at the Hart. Free extra tickets for season ticket holders!!!! Can bring the sons for FREEEEEEE! Free becomes very important when you reach a certain age!
For HC basketball only fans who haven't been paying attention, the UNH game is at 5:00 PM.

Admission for today's game: FREE Maybe a good idea for make every home game free (or close to it, say $5.) - but the ultimate humiliation would be that attendance would not grow even then

He must be referring to the Regis game because if he is referring to the first five games, I really have to wonder about him.
