Rather than infect a game thread with talk of the "C" word, I'm sticking this here
For anyone paying enough attention to realize that the city of Worcester has lifted its mask mandate, that does not prohibit private entities from having their own stricter policies. HC has NOT issued anything saying the school is backing off on the mask requirements. Anyone going to the game tonight should be prepared to wear a mask and not assume that HC is adopting the new city policy

Now is not the time to let our guard down. We need to remain vigilant. We're all in this together.

Is this the Hart Center or the Dunkin Donuts Center? if i'm in high school, i choose the school that cares more about me than the optics of how i make the school look in certain circles. good for providence for not pandering, deploying a genuinely scientific approach to the current situation, and i'm happy to see kids at no real risk of harm enjoying themselves in this precious period of life at a basketball game at schools like providence.

Omicron cases are rising at HC. But apparently not in Providence, RI or on the campus of that fine institution. Plenty of other things to worry about anyway.

I went with the family to the Dunk last night. No masks. No vax requirement. Sold out, loud arena. I’ll be back.
Hopefully we’ll be back to the Hart too.

Went to the XL Center in Hartford. Everyone over 12 had to be vaxxed and boosted. Mandatory masks except while eating and drinking. No enforcement of said rule though compliance appeared significantly higher at the women’s game than the men’s game against Villanova the night before.

Omicron cases are rising at HC. We’re at the point in the pandemic where we really need to stop testing everyone on a college campus and/or reacting to every daily spike in positives. It’s not healthy. As a tuition-paying parent starting next year, I’m not going to keep paying to send my kid to HC to have a college experience where he’s living on pins and needles about masking and isolation and test results every day. He will transfer if that’s the case. Book it.
