One thing that makes me nervous is that we are going to get every team’s A+ game this season. Can’t have any letdowns.

So refreshing to read something like this about a HC team.

Refreshing indeed...now let's get some more teams in the coming years being discussed in that way.

Barring injuries and other unforeseen issues....this looks to be the deepest, most talented HC football team since the Duffner late 80s teams.
That being said, all it takes is one "trip-up" at Hamilton or another PL game to bring us back down to earth. A win at Buffalo would be a very good cushion to get an at-large bid....

While it's good to be cautious, the PL is very predictable and HC will find itself with a trophy on week 12 in Washington. PL Standings: HC 5-1 Fordham 4-2 Colgate 3-3 Lehigh 3-3 Lafayette 3-3 Bucknell 3-3 Georgetown 0-6

Given the recruiting, we’ve further widened the talent gap with the rest of the PL. And I see us favored in all our FCS games.
This is the year for the deeper run in the playoffs.

...even in the FCS playoffs? That would be impressive.

IMO the loss to Villanova opened eyes nationally with groups like Hero who cover FCS extensively.
2022 will be a fun ride.

We do go on the road to Harvard Stadium where we haven't won since Clinton was in office. That would be a nice feather in the cap for Chesney.

5-1??? Where does the1 loss come from? Perhaps Colgate in Hamilton. Always tough place to play. Not to mention the Rex Raiders quietly finished 2nd in the league last year and will be looking to avenge the Polar Park bloodbath.

Plus TG will be winding and rewinding the film all summer long. And Fordham has to have revenge on their mind after getting whooped on their fraying rug.

One thing that makes me nervous is that we are going to get every team’s A+ game this season. Can’t have any letdowns. I think we already had the target on our backs all of last year. But 100% we will be everyone's "Notre Dame" or "Super Bowl" again in 2022. Whichever analogy you prefer.

It is very nice that Yale is our 3rd game, and for them it is the 1st game of the season. (As was the case with our victory last year over Yale with a very similar bunch of guys).

I'm starting to feel like the Atlanta Falcons mid way through the third quarter of Super Bowl LI. Confidence is off the chart.

One thing that makes me nervous is that we are going to get every team’s A+ game this season. Can’t have any letdowns. No question! I think the experience of last year's Merrimack game will be used as a learning tool to avoid any letdowns. Schedule is tough throughout and depth will be key.

Is the Merrimack QB back this year? Pretty sure he was a grad transfer last year but I have no idea with these covid rules these days.
