One of the greatest players in NHL history has passed away. Guy Lafleur was an electrifying presence on the ice. I saw him play once in St. Louis--it was an eerie experience. I know this will sound strange, but when his line came onto the ice it was like a jolt of electricity going through the stadium.. Literally.

Very true. Magnificent player to watch. Saw him play twice at the Montreal Forum. Canadians had great teams back then.

No player personified the 70s/early 80s Canadiens more than Guy Lafleur. Everything about him...the name, the talent, the hair....just a great player and a source of long-term misery for Bruins fans.
