Funny, but not subtle. That was probably picked up by any who read the list.

Giving me shivers at my desk. It'd be interesting to see a top ten list of HC killers over the years. A few names that come to mind: Trevon Samp Mike McLeod Dominic Bragalone Jeremy Lin Brett Nelson Doug Flutie Strong entry for Post of the Year right here.

FU vs HC. Football: Historically, FU has had a more prominent program than HC. ( National rankings, Lombardi, NFL Rams, etc.) Yet from at least my time at HC in the 60's HC has led in the series. Basketball: It's the reverse. Obviously HC has reached greater heights and historically had a more famous program than FU.. Yet, from my time at HC, FU has led in the series. I was quite surprised to read this my sophomore year. PS FU had some fine teams in the 50's Conlin, Cunningham, McCadney, etc. In fact I saw FU defeat an HC team led by Heinsohn at the Rose Hill Gym. Maybe, it's the magic of the Jesuits trying to keep alums from both schools unhappy but not mutinous. We'll see how it goes this autumn.

Great to have a game like HC vs FU at Fitton on 10-29 to look forward to. Now that we have daylight savings year round that will be just about peak time for football.

I believe that Year Around DST starts In the spring of 2023. This fall we will revert of Standard Time from November 6, 2022 until March 12, 2023.

That means I still have to stand on a chair and change the non-digital clock for my elderly friend one more time. Should be plenty of light for the Fordham game on 10-29 however.

Year round daylight savings time is not close to being a reality at this point. It passed the Senate in a stealth vote, but the House has shown no interest at all in voting on it or even studying it.

Good to know, these posts had me wondering if I missed something. I imagine its time will come when everyone old enough to remember the dismal failure the last time was is gone On a positive note, first graders in Ohio will be able to learn about astronomy by looking at the stars while they wait for the school bus. I never understood why people struggle with the having to change clocks twice a year. Although it would be easier if they would leave the dates alone and stop tweaking it every few years Note to Longsuffering - the last time they moved the dates of daylight savings time , the return to standard time got changed to November. The Fordham game will still be during EDT

It's the first Sunday in November, the 6th. So, this year, the November 5 games are in Daylight Time, the November 12 games, etc. are on Standard Time.
Don't have school kids and don't work, the time change still messes me up so I'd vote to get rid of it. At least in New England, which is a lot further east than the rest of the east coast.

Not our schedule but interesting to see that Army is playing two regular season games in London - from their site:
The Army West Point Men's Basketball program will participate in the London Basketball Classic on November 24 and November 26 inside the Copper Box Arena which was the London 2012 Olympic Basketball venue. Army West Point joins Princeton University, Northeastern University, and Manhattan College in the field. The London Basketball Classic is a four-team tournament hosted by Inspirus Sports Management. The Black Knights will take on Princeton on November 24 while Manhattan and Northeastern will play in the other semifinal.

The same group is sponsoring the MAAC-ASUN Challenge in Dublin in November. Four Men's and four women's teams. Fan travel packages begin at $1659.
Although there will be some tickets sold, I bet each school has to subsidize the trip.

Do you expect HC's to be much better? I don't. Probably will elicit my usual reaction of meh.

Holy Cross is at Siena for what looks to be the season opener on Monday, November 7. Can't complain about that scheduling. The Saints take BB seriously and generally have the best attendance in the MAAC. Siena trails St. Bonaventure 25-7 in the Franciscan Cup Series. That still blows out HC's record in the Turnpike Trophy competition. Kit will address that.

I corrected the original post. Siena at Holy Cross. I assumed the game would be in Albany since the played in Worcester last year, but the Saints will be making the track across I-90 for the second straight season.

HC should try to add games against locals like Fairfield, Harvard, Yale, Brown and Northeastern. The other locals that come to mind stopped playing us regularly many moons ago. Realistically what is the point in trying to play them anyway.

There seems to be no series with Yale whatsoever any more (last game was 2014). Two coaches ago. Surprising.
