Maybe not. Over the last couple of days, I've had a number of email exchanges and a phone call with the new Director of Ticketing. When he asked why I was considering not renewing my season tickets, I basically unloaded on him. His response was refreshing to say the least and he said that the season ticket holders are vital to bringing back the atmosphere needed in the Hart and then, I will quote:
"It is important to keep season ticket holders like yourself to keep that atmosphere here during games that will both help with recruiting and the loyalty of these players! Transparently, I am the first outbound salesperson that Holy Cross has ever had and we will be looking to pack the gym this season! I want you to be a part of it."
Not sure what an "outbound salesperson" is but suspect he means the only one coming into the job with a sales background.
I renewed my tickets and changed my seats a bit which I will explain to other Hart regulars in a PM if asked.

Sounds like this is the first time HC has had a ticket sales person who is actively pursuing and trying to sell season tickets, rather than just answering the phone when it rings.

...or if they use correct grammar, they will ask "You lost to whom?" Last season HC did beat their 2 non-D1 opponents by pretty large margins IIRC. It seems talk of losses to non-D1 opponents is wishful thinking by some. Agreed re: grammar, but don’t forget, we’re talking about a D2 coach here.

Sounds like this is the first time HC has had a ticket sales person who is actively pursuing and trying to sell season tickets, rather than just answering the phone when it rings. goholycross.com/news/2022/5/23/holy-cross-athletics-department-announces-ticket-partnership-with-peak-sports-mgmt.aspxPeak Sports Management is now on the job for a outbound sales. I believe some may have missed this announcement in May. College of the Holy Cross Athletics Department announced an updated deal for Peak Sports MGMT to begin overseeing outbound ticket-sales and multimedia for the department on Monday. "The community in Worcester has been amazing to us over this past year," said Ryan Holloway, President of Peak Sports MGMT. "This is a huge step for both sides here, and we're elated to be able to take this next step with a phenomenal program, and the greater Worcester fan base!" Peak Sports manages and sells all sponsorship inventory for Holy Cross Athletics, including venue signage, program advertising, digital and web content, and game sponsorships. With the new agreement, Peak will employ a full-time ticket-sales team in Worcester dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to season ticket members and diligently working to strengthen the foundation of Crusader Nation. "This deal enhances an already rock-solid agreement between us and Holy Cross," said Wesley Abercrombie, Vice President of Sales at Peak Sports MGMT. "They are one of just two programs with us to have a hockey team, so it's an exciting thought to be able to branch out and expand our horizons with such a great athletics department." "We are excited to add Peak Sports' ticket-sales business unit to complement our already successful relationship as our multimedia rights holder," said Nick Smith, Holy Cross Senior Associate Director of Athletics. "We are aligned in our vision of providing an incredible gameday experience for all Holy Cross fans while also generating additional revenue for the department. Our passionate fan base provides a tremendous atmosphere and we look forward to working with Peak Sports on enhancing our environment for the entire Crusader community."

As most of us have concluded Fairfield will not be visiting HC this season to return the game we played last season - they open the season with 7 road games and open their new facility in early dec

Tells you something when Fairfield is too good to play Holy Cross. What’s the expression? The worm turns? We don't know why the two teams aren't playing this year but I do think HC and Fairfield should be playing each other on an annual basis. Jesuit schools, lots of alumni in each others back yards, a dearth of games for each in those alumni rich areas, long-time rivals, etc. Same goes for Fordham and to a lesser extent Georgetown. In a perfect world, those and other Jesuit/Catholic schools in the Northeast would be in the same conference.

I could be wrong, but wasn't last year's game the return game for the game Fairfield played at HC in the 19-20 season? As we know, HC did not play any OOC games in 20-21.

^ More likely to see Lasell on the sked than you are La Salle. Good point. LaSalle actually has a pretty decent schedule with Temple, Penn, Villanova and Cincy. You know HC's will be nowhere near that challenging.

Holy Cross opponent and new to D1 Stonehill is playing the OOC schedule Crusader fans dream of - it has games with BC, PC, UConn, and Fordham. Only downside is every one of these games is on the opponent's home court.

I hope the dates there for their games at Fordham are wrong - it says Nov 19-21-23 - that’s Saturday- Monday - Wednesday - I thought our 3 games were over a 4 day period - anyone know who we’re playing and on which dates ? (After Stonehill on the 19th)

Is the Huskie Northeastern or Northern Illinois? Most likely Northeastern, of course.
Stonehill's a sister school to Notre Dame, figure they'll get a ballgame w/them at some point (there were one or two in the 70s.)

Which makes it odd that Yaz finished his degree at Merrimack instead of Stonehill after he left ND to sign with the Red Sox. Probably because he was living north of Boston as I recall.
