I had the pleasure of being at Stabler Arena on a Saturday afternoon when the university retired CJ's number. I did not get to see the halftime ceremony as I was stuck on a long line for pizza. Before the game started, CJ was in a concession area behind one of the baskets. He was signing autographs, posing for photos, chatting with one of the LU assistant coaches, and interacting with fans in a pleasant and unpretentious manner. He also get dressed up for the occasion as he was wearing a well-tailored suit. It was just refreshing sight to see. I assume the Trailblazers in Philly for a game that weekend. How many NBA players would take the time to visit their alma mater mid-season? Just a class act is CJ. The visiting Crusaders won thanks to a put-back by JF late in the game to ice it.
