The celebrated actor has passed away at age 82. I thought he was an outstanding actor with two roles really standing out for me. Of course, his Sonny Corleone was just fantastic, but I also thought he as great in the role of the publishing executive in "Elf".

He was never afraid to take secondary "character" roles and typically did a solid job - sometimes stealing the show. May he rest in peace.

One movie I really liked him in was called City of Ghosts; he and Matt Dillon were con men on the run in Cambodia after pulling off a scam in the US.
From G1: "I don't want my brother coming out of that toilet with just his d**ick in his hands".

According to "Guy Code", the only movie a real man is allowed to cry during is Brian's Song. Another great credit to Mr Caan

A friend told me he was considering asking a woman out until he saw on her profile that her favorite movie was "Misery"

My kids all knew him as Elf’s dad. Great actor. RIP.

Unfortunately, the "bad things happen in 3s" has come to fruition with actors who played mob character favorites: Henry Hill, Sonny Corleone...now Paulie Walnuts.
