I am afraid that all I get from that link is a repeated statement to subscribe to the WSJ.

Interesting article for sure. I got my MBA at Northeastern--it is certainly a much different school today than it was in 1977.

Interesting article. When I was growing up in MA and applying to colleges Northeastern was respected but thought of as a blue collar school that was very easy to get into. Over the years they have dramatically improved the campus. They significantly, stunningly, increased their applicant pool largely by deconstructing the criteria used by USN&WR in its rankings and gaming them. They've admitted doing this, and why not. The Northeastern president comments that many US colleges are too "inward looking". This is certainly true of HC. We've discussed on Crossports the need for dramatically improved marketing by HC. I think HC will see its applicant pool soar if PVR and his administration are aggressive and proactive selling HC.

Apologies for the broken link and thanks Crucis for posting a link that works. 74 -- couldn't agree more.

Did we not just read in the HC Magazine that like Tracy Barlok, the VP of Marketing at HC just retired? Could be VR wanted to go in a different direction. I will admit that until I read the article, I wasn’t aware HC had a marketing VP. That might be an indication, she wasn’t that great at Marketing (of herself) as I think I’m tuned enough into HC that I should have known of her existence. Or, maybe not.
Acid test is if Phreek knew her.😉

I thought Tracy was the VP for Development. Tracy Barlok was the VP for Advancement. Marisa Gregg was the VP for College Marketing and Communications. She assumed the role previously held by Dan Kim.
