Haven't done this all summer, and the kids are about to head back to school.
By my count, since the inception of the Patriot League, there have been 14 Crusaders who have played four (or more) years and never had their squad go to the PL final game. Name them
Of those 14, how many were never on a squad that even made it to the semi finals?

Miller might be the only player in the history of low D1 basketball to have both won an NBA championship and never made the league semis.

What a sad trivia question to lead us into the weekend.
Dave has some of the recent guys, although can think of two he missed:
Dudzinski Le Sann

Do walk-ons count, Tom? If so, Pat Kerrigan would be one.

Miller might be the only player in the history of low D1 basketball to have both won an NBA championship and never made the league semis. Without giving too much away for the second part of the question, Miller's junior year he played in the semi's losing to American. That was the year HC also played in the CIT. Also the year, I thought Coach Brown had the team moving in the right direction

What a sad trivia question to lead us into the weekend. Ya. Kind of. On the other hand, 14 isn't that high a number for 30 years. I can't imagine too many of the other league founding members have fewer

How about Obeysekere and Stowers Good catch with Stowers. I thought he would be the hardest to get Obeysekere was already guessed (although NAD didn't feel like doing all that typing) One more out there. Could be easy to forget but feel silly for forgetting when you hear the name

DJ is in fact the last
There is still part 2 to the question. Also going back to HC92's comment. Of those 14, how many were never on a team that at least made the semis?

Hmmmm....Butler, Faw, Hart, LeSann. The number is two. Stowers and Hart are the only four year HC players during the Patriot League era not to play on a team that reached the semis HC advanced to the semis Butler and Faw's freshman year with an upset win in the quarterfinals at Navy. Now making the semis at least once in four years is an incredibly low bar. I really, really hope that really exclusive club doesn't grow (and not because no one sticks around for four years)
