Merrimack is going to have blood in its eye. Their attitude has to be " We beat 'em once and will beat 'em again. We're gonna pound them like a drum." Expect the lads in purple will be alert & up to the task. Expect an HC win in a close, tough battle. HC 24 Merrimack 17 . GoCrossGo.

Not sure what "blood in its eye" exactly means but suspect you mean Warriors will be very confident. That might be true but having just spoken to 3 of our players and Coach Chesney I can assure you that our guys will win by much more than 7 points. I'll be disappointed if we don't win by at least 2 touchdowns and if we are rolling, we are not going to let up. The revenge factor is very high for this game.
FWIW, I'm not participating in the pick 'em contest this season.

No interest whatsoever in non-PL opponents playing other games. Besides, I want to give the rest of Crossports an opportunity to win those big prizes.

That's because we are both too old for our respective games. Looking at the pictures my son took of me with Jake Dobbs, Pat Haughney and Cristos Argys, I sent them to those guys and said "I don't mind being shorter and smaller than you guys but I don't like looking like my grandfather." As an aside, after Coach Chesney had his picture taken with me, he laughed and said "I usually do this (stood on tippy toes) just before the picture is taken." He then said, "you are still taller than me." The pictures show we are the same height but told him I USED to be an inch taller but shrunk an inch over the last couple of years (true). He's a funny guy, easy to like. P.S. I recall when meeting him immediately after his initial press conference how lean (i.e. thin) he was and I probably outweighed him by 15-20 pounds (not bragging, none of that was muscle). I've lost some weight (good) and while he looks to weigh about the same, I've noticed his biceps are significantly larger than when he first came to HC. Suspect he's been working out with his players and maybe his son who he said is playing football. For 45, I didn't get to talk to BC's Dad but I asked about him as he was wheeling out of the IPF. BC said it's his back and I guess he gets sciatica pains periodically but can walk without the scooter except for long distances.

= I hope to see the day when I can pick more PL teams =
FIU - If it's close, 'home-cooking' will turn the tide Fordham - this better be one-sided as the Seahawks were winless last season Villanova - afraid of an embarrassing score here Maryland - will be interesting if the Bulls stay close Marist - come on, GU ! make me wrong SHU - same thing here - rooting for the 'pards tho Towson - another one-sided CAA/PL matchup Stanford - I'm jealous of this trip for the 'Gate HC - we cannot be careless here

Bryant up 16-6 starting the second half at FIU before a puny crowd on ESPN3. For the few of us who picked the Bulldogs, can they avoid the second half slide typical of FCS teams who get ahead of FBS opponents? I hope so.

Bryant Defense gets a sack, fumble and turnover at mid field. Bulldogs starting to growl. I don't think they will be a pushover late in the season.
