Some may remember when Yale called off the dogs (TG's last season) and did not run up the score when they could have. That is the decent thing to do...as in good sportsmanship.

Fordam seems to put almost everything into the offense, their defense is suspect. Suspect would be putting it nicely.

No need to score at the end. Glad we didn’t. I have nothing against Yale other than the obvious (bunch of elitist, crazy-liberal snobs). And, as others have pointed out, they went easy on us when we were awful in Gilmore’s last year when they could have beaten us by 200.

Anyone know when they put the railings in on the aisles? I saw a 2008 photo of Fitton and there weren't any. Good safety measure. I believe the railings went up for the last football season... you really need to get to a game in person...

Don’t look now, but I think we’re on the brink of something special. With these last two wins, my impression is that we’re out-conditioning our opponents. Any chance we can book a game for the bye week? Expecting good things to continue, and we’ll want to maintain momentum! We could have two open dates. Has Georgetown sued for peace yet? 🤣

Remember when we worried about Matt Sluka’s passing? His numbers in first three games are phenomenal:
42/63= 66.7% completion pctg 729 yards= 11.6 yards per attempt = must be among highest in country 7 TD’s 1 Interception Rating=197.36 don’t think any Crusader has come close to that
Okay, only three games played but the stats are encouraging but, of course, your eyes tell you how great he has been
Then there’s his running….

Would love to hear some comments from posters who were at the game.
1) What was the atmosphere like? Did the students show up in good numbers? Feedback on the sound system and video board?
2) Our RBs continue to run hard and look tough to bring down. Slade seemed quick and elusive. How did he look in person? Hard to judge on the video broadcast.
3) It looked like Yale brought more fans than I expected.

A very impressive beatdown of the Bulldogs or Eli, whichever you prefer.
The talent that HCBC has assembled at the skill positions on both sides of the ball is outstanding. Getting to the point where every deep ball that gets thrown on offense feels like it’s going to be caught, and every deep ball thrown by opponents feels like it’s going to get picked.
Chris Smith has the offense humming. Great to see an OC who is finally allowed to open things up, and he is making the most of it. Night and day vs the last two OCs.

It’ll be interesting to see if DeMorat (33/53, 465 passing yards, 5 touchdowns, 0 interceptions in Fordham’s wild 48-45 comeback win over Albany) again is named PL offensive player of the week. Coker, Sluka, etc were terrific v Yale but don’t have such gaudy numbers.

What a great game in a great atmosphere. Loved how the running game just took over in the second half.
Can't get over Sluka's improvement in the passing game. Don't remember which drive it was (coming right to left from the home side), but he threw a couple of long balls that were just sick (including an over the shoulder grab right near midfield at the HC bench. Just perfect placement).
Keep it going!

His passing is much improved. --------------------------------------------------- For comparison though with a QB in da Bronx, 85-129-3, 65.9% completion percentage 1302 yards, 15.3 yards per completion 16 touchdowns In three games, Greenhagen credited with 23 tackles, 13 unassisted. Fordham opponents have run a total of 192 plays, average yards per rushing attempt: 6.4 yards. Wonder if he has recovered 100 percent.

(Apologize if this was written already) Terrific to see some greats from the past, including Joe Wilson , Eddie Jenkins and track star , Art Martin. Two other greats there were Jo and John Luth.

Lots of students made their way over to Fitton tailgate and never got in stadium.
Team plays with a lot of swagger. I know we don’t want personal fouls, but I don’t want to lose the edge we play with. (Think Brad Marchand).
Need video of Sluka staring down Reno.
No huddle at then end was great. Definitely trying to score there until about the 40 second mark.

Our defensive backfield is atrocious. We never ever find the ball when it’s in the air. I think they did a terrific job overall.

Haven't seen anyone mention what beautiful 33 yard pass Joe Pesansky threw to Justin Shorter. Put it right in his hands with a defender close behind.
Hope Justin is OK. He landed hard and was slow getting up.

The interview on with Chesney at halftime as outstanding. Very informative and honest from Coach.
Let's enjoy this while it lasts. It's very different at Fitton right now and in a good way.

Watching the replay now. I can understand why you guys were complaining about the event production- brutal.
I do have one complaint about yesterday. I'm not a season ticket holder; I usually just go to the ticket window in the concourse of the baseball field (where there is will call). As I approached, a staffer stepped up and asked if I needed help. Was told that game day tickets were not sold at the Will Call booth; he pointed down the hill and told me we needed to go around the corner to "the next tent". So, I get down to the College St entrance and still see nothing. We proceeded down to Southbridge St, then decided to go into the baseball field. Asked a couple of more guys; no one could help me. Finally, I see this unmarked white tent right under the center field scoreboard. There was a guy at a table with a cash box. Asked if he was selling tickets and he said "yes, cash only". So I bought them there. Is that the deal now for walking up to buy tickets? Was able to buy them at the Will Call booth last yer. I was pretty annoyed at the lack of signage; I guess they don't want any fossils buying paper tickets any more.
