Fuller really looked like he could be special based on the Buffalo game. Strong as an ox and seemingly a little more burst than Oliver. Hope they’re both awesome on Saturday. Oliver can open it up once he gets in space like he did in a few games last year.

I had to do a double-take when I looked at the picture of our beloved Fitton Field--I thought they installed turf! The grass looks phenomenal. Kudos to our incredible groundskeepers. Too bad it is a stadium used four times a year! We should at least have 5-6 games!

Well, the playoffs could provide that!

At least 2-3 times more in November would be nice! Unfortunately the turf might not be as pristine at that point, but who knows! I love the optimism, which I do believe, is warranted this year!

Clearly the finest FCS stadium on the east coast - fans are literally on top of the action (very rare) The 'natural' turf was in great shape last November for the playoff game - Looking forward to being in attendance tmro

Two factors (1) how close the stands are to the field and (2) how steep the stands are. This photo makes it look like the stands rise very gradually, the opposite of what I remember..

You are correct. The stands are quite steep. I looked on the interwebs and there are all sorts of instructions about how to show slope in photographs. (Mountain bikers seem to want to know it a lot.) I didn't understand the instructions, but this is clearly a thing.

Changing the lens has long been a useful technique...much easier to achieve with digital photos.

I think the white team area on the Visitor’s sideline should be painted purple. Really deep and vivid purple.

So, we beat them 27-20 last year at their place and, unlike most years, we have a large proportion of our players returning who beat a better FBS team than the one we beat last year and beat a presumed weak FCS team that upset us last year and we are playing at home. And we’re the underdogs?
Unless Yale had a lot of great injured players last year who weren’t in our game or they got even better younger players than they had last year, this looks like a probable win for the Crusaders. Granted, another very close, tight game but still a win.
No question that we should not take them lightly but any objective person should think we’d be favored.

See my post above. HC +9.5 was last year's spread, NOT this year. Whatever hoops "heard" was wrong.

Climbing the steep incline at Fitton without handrails would definitely be problematic but somehow doable. Well into adulthood I would scramble up like a billy goat. This is not the case in my older years.

And let’s not forget the last time Yale played a game (and lost, BTW) was over 40 weeks ago while we beat FBS Buffalo about 7 days ago. We’re at game speed and they’re shaking the rust out and seeing what works v a high quality FCS opponent.

Looking at the game notes…
Gehl and Shea will be in the booth calling the game and Lacombe on the sidelines.
Excited that the charter 3 (spectrum 1) team will be producing this game. I think when they do the games, the overall production/viewing experience is much better.
Now if we can only improve the power supply on the visitors side of Fitton so we can broadcast games from that side of the field.
Mr. Pak, are you able to help us figure out what needs to be done to make this happen?
