I want this to work out for Cohen and for Holy Cross whatever is going on and I don't know what's going on. If it was a serious injury we would know about it. Since he wasn't at the last two games, it's got to be something serious. Wouldn't mind seeing Harrison Niego in royal purple and white. The kid could contribute immediately.

If so, then why did Niego go to a D-II school in the first place?

Wouldn't mind seeing Harrison Niego in royal purple and white. The kid could contribute immediately. Give it up, 70. Maybe a package deal can be arranged with both Niego and Jahaad Proctor transferring in. Since Niego would have to sit out for at least a year, it would be hard for him to "contribute immediately" however.

Gentle reminder folks. And this thread epitomizes the reason for board Rule # 7 crossports.freeforums.net/thread/7/board-rulesWe all know Tyrone Cohen has been absent from the bench the last 2 games. If anyone here knows why, they have, as of right now, chosen not to post about it. We can all sit around and post 20 "possible" reasons he's been absent, but most would have ZERO information to base them on, therefore do not posting them, without something to back it up.

Dean- Speculation is by definition not based on definitive information. So you are banning all speculation from this Board. Paternalism reigns.

Speculation on this subject is equal parts ignorance and self-importance on the part of the speculator - its termination, a small loss for the rest of us.

Sarasota,
1. Read the rule above, which you agreed to when you signed up. It does not ban all speculation.
2. You are free to stay off this board and avoid the paternalism.
3. You are also free to start your own board and allow anything you wish. Until then, dems da rules.
4. Finally, if you wish, I am more than happy to demonstrate to you how paternalistic I can be.

It would be good to have someone from the Telegram actually write stories about the team again. A writer would, you know, actually ask the coaching staff a question about where the kid is. I guess the staff could opt not to answer it, but at least it would be out there.

Stop what exactly? Stop asking where our #1 recruit is?

Stop what exactly? Stop asking where our #1 recruit is? Asking once, maybe twice us one thing, but you have asked at least 50 times.no one is answering.

Of all the ways to find out, posting a rhetorical question (on several threads) in CROSSPORTS is probably the least effective way of finding out. Why do you need to know this right now? There are several possibilities: 1. you are trying to make our recruiting and one or more of the coaches look bad 2. you are trying to give a hard time to the poster who saw Tyrone as a sure thing who would play immediately 3. you would rather deflect attention from the positives that have been seen in this team by focusing on someone who has yet to make a serious contribution 4. you have some personal resentment toward Tyrone 5. you are a conspiracy theorist and need to have one in play 6. you simply like being annoying and don't care what anyone else says or thinks - you know, the very people you seem to need to ask for information repeatedly on a daily basis. Can you possibly just enjoy tonight's win? PS: I have a spell check with a mind of its own. Apparently, it has trouble with the name Tyrone. Thanks, Hops. Without your help I never would have spotted it.

Are you guys not the least bit interested in knowing whether he's on the team or not?

I am interested but no one has answered the question yet. That could be because no one knows or because someone knows but doesn't want to share with the board. Either way, posting after every game likely isn't going to get you your answer.

To be clear ...
Asking the question is not an issue - though asking it every day for a week on a multiple threads when you didn't get an answer the first 3 days you asked seems a bit excessive and counterproductive.
With respect to the repetitive nature of the postings, sometime back someone suggested we adopt the following rule used on the Fordham board
Not sure why we did not include it when suggested, but in the last 3 weeks or so, I'm starting to feel it might be needed - and would include asking the same question over and over in the category of repetitiveness.
I'm hoping by simply saying it, you'll recognize the value of the "rule" and heed it without having to make it official. Personal reminders will also be sent going forward.
