A great man, a special football player, and an even better coach of young men-- playing for and learning from him was a highlight of my four years at Holy Cross

I have had the great good fortune of getting to know Denny Golden over the last 15 years. My impressions of Denny Golden: a total class act, a visionary and leader without peer, a Crusaders' Crusader, and a loyal son of Holy Cross . . aside from all that, just an all around great guy.

One of my cousins went to Fontbonne while he was President. She absolutely loved how personable and passionate he was. She said it was rare for an administrator to know most students by name and appreciated it.

Thank you for posting. Dennis is a wonderful man. He spoke at the Class of ‘67’s 50th reunion.

A great man, a special football player, and an even better coach of young men-- playing for and learning from him was a highlight of my four years at Holy Cross He did coach a wee bit at HC after his stint in the Marines? (edit) I never met him, got to watch one of his Framingham State games. He had Tom Lamb and Wally Quigg (went to HC, then transferred to Northeastern) as his assistants.

He coached the freshmen for a few years with Fran
I feel blessed to be part of his love for the purple
Right behind Togo, and not by much
I think part of my passion for the school came from his incredible love and commitment to Holy Cross

Crucis, Very strong concluding statement regarding the post-Brooks leadership of Alma Mater prior to VR. No substitute for truly strong, principled leadership. I concur that DG embodies those virtues and character traits that would have served Alma Mater in exceptional fashion.
