We are facing a long, cold winter. Only hope might be women’s hoop.

Let's hope football is still playing on New Year's. I was hoping this was a womens' score when I saw it.
Some above average Atlantic Hockey recruits coming next year for HC. Should be interesting. I just wish we could use our players a bit better. I think some of the depth, shot blocking, hustle type players are missing on this squad this year.

Not looking good for this year, but this is a good Merrimack team. Our best player from last year is on their 4th line as a grad transfer. RIT’s best player from last year also plays for them. In total, they have 5 or 6 grad transfers aka 25 yrs old playing for them. A couple of my friends/teammates from the ancient times were at the game today and offered the following:
Merrimack was bigger, stronger, faster, meaner and older.. HC hung tough and was more than respectable . . .
I know that does not mean much, but hopefully they can right the ship in the second half in AHA and sneak into the playoffs. And hopefully Riga can upgrade the talent over the next couple of years.

Merrimack is supposedly ranked #13 and only the #3 ranked North Dakota is more highly ranked of the teams we've played this season.

Merrimack is good to very good this year....this isn't your dad's Merrimack squad anymore. Thy are now 10-3-0 overall and 6-1-0 in Hockey East play.
