Great victory for the Crusaders. Hard to believe you can win when you're outrebounded 37-20 but 9 to 18 in turnovers certainly helped.
I had us with 2.6 wins at this point so I'm happy with the 3-4 record

Champion blew a layup, hadn't been playing well...then came up with a steal, a layup and 3 3-s in a row. That's what you call stepping up!

Most positive development, no doubt: Robert Champion returning to fine form
Team: 15 assists on 18 baskets

Very sound defensive effort tonight. I thought we were really active, had many deflections, and it showed as we forced 18 turnovers.
We were shooting a dismal percentage from three at one point, but ended 11-29 (38%). Will gladly take that every game.

Champion clutch at line Yes Before he stepped up to the line, you could see his dad in the background, imploring him to follow-through.

Malachi with 17 points , 7 boards, 3 assists - fine all around game. Having him on court the entire 2nd half was critical.

Live stats did not have the offensive rebounds, but I doubt UA had too many. The 37 rebounds they had were by far from our many missed shots

Over reliance on 3's. Not good in the long run.

Over reliance on 3's. Not good in the long run. Ummm that, and back door looks, is kind of what the Princeton offense is built on.

Over reliance on 3's. Not good in the long run. It's the new basketball game of today. Watch almost any game and you'll see the 3's going uo all the time..It is what the kids practice now,,

Over reliance on 3's. Not good in the long run. Ummm that, and back door looks, is kind of what the Princeton offense is built on. As I recall, a study of Northwestern U, before and during the Carmody tenure, showed that (1) the PO team will take a lot higher percentage of FG attempts as threes, while hitting about the same percentage, and (2) increase meaningfully the shooting percentage on twos--thanks to those back doors you note

Albany put up 81 points on Siena and 87 on Penn State.
Think the 1-3-1 frustrated them tonight? This was a solid team we beat on the road.

Starting to come together, baby... Yes, indeed. Another thing to consider is that we were able to win, on the road against a decent team, when two of our three big guns had good/very good games; i.e. we didn't need all three to excel to win.
