Does anyone think that we might be able to squeak out a win or maybe two in Patriot league play ? Or is it possible we go 0-18 in league play and 3 - 29 overall Yikes this is bad really bad

I think we win 3 PL games. 1 away 2 at home.
If not for Gates we might be the worst DI team in the country.

We took 8 free throws, all by Gerrale That was not a well-officiated game. Officiated like they had a 2:00 game at Fairfield and didn't want to be late for it. The two biggest calls down the stretch they outright blew. One, their possession, HC down 2; was either a jump ball (hc poss), travel or a foul; could not be a "nothing". Then Bo driving the lane got hit, we lose the ball instead.

3-13 from three Has Nelson given up on Will ? Did not deserve to be out there, was horrible. Hope he's hurt and just not another bad recruiting decision. When he got in at the 4 minute mark of the first half, first he threw one up from the coaching box line (or whatever it's called), off by a mile; then next time down the court made a horrible turnover. Got yanked but still started the second half and wasn't any better. Shaky as Tse was at times, he earned his minutes today.

According to Bart Torvik, SHU is #322 and our Crusaders are #353. A loss today may well put HC in Torvik’s bottom ten. We have just made Torvik’s bottom ten at #354. Mercy!

He is a solid recruit, playing for a coach that expect too much out of him as a freshman, because he just can’t coach. no player on this roster can save him from his own ineptitude

I wonder how Batch would work out at a place like Colgate or Princeton (or even American), where the offense is not dependent on 1:1 take your guy off the dribble, followed up with hot potato passing (with indecision mixed in). I believe he would be having a much bigger impact at one of those schools.
We talk a lot about how bad the shooting is, but I think the far bigger problem is the offensive philosophy/strategy. This style might work if you had a Kevin Hamilton and Keith Simmons out there (with a Malcolm Miller). Guys that drew fouls. No disrespect to any of the current players, but they simply aren't at that level imo. And I get more confused everyday by the overall roster makeup (all the big guys that don't seem to fit an "attack and serve" style).

NAD, you act like you know what “attack and serve” actually means (meant? We don’t hear it anymore).
Recall back 6-12 months ago I asked for opinions what it meant. From memory, no one seemed to actually know.

I don't know anything at this point......other than it's not something that works at this level.

In a 6th grade travel game last week, we had a healthy lead so I told the girls to just move the ball around and not really try to score in the second half. In the handshake line, one of the girls on the other team said “hot potato” instead of “good game” to all the girls. When I gave her a funny look when she got to me, she giggled and said it looked like we were playing hot potato instead of basketball. I do like #hotpotatowithadashofindecision as Nelson’s new tag line to replace #attackandserve.
