"David Crosby: Remember My Name" is a good documentary. In it he freely admits he was the cause of the breakup of Crosby Stills & Nash because he was insufferable. IIRC he was fired from the Byrds for the same reason. Nevertheless, RIP.

He "discovered" Joni Mitchell and got her career launched. She, in turn, introduced him to fellow Canadian, Neil Young and Steven Stills, who were then part of Buffalo Springfield.

Impressive to have made it to 81, staying musically productive throughout his years. A true 60s icon of the Woodstock generation. Not much can compare to those CSN harmonies.

What a group CSN & Y was, albeit destined not to last too long due to the personalities/egos. Stills and Young were from Buffalo Springfield, Crosby came from the Byrds, and Nash was in the Hollies. It was the blending of some great talents. There's also a good documentary about Laurel Canyon, where all these folks lived and hung out, along with Jackson Browne, the Mamas and the Papas, etc.

May his soul be at rest, and may his music and his name be remembered along with my thanks for the tunes that meant so much to me for many years..

Extraordinarily talented and overcame some very serious health issues. He received a liver transplant about 25 years ago amongst other medical interventions.

Helplessly Hoping being the best. 49 Bye Byes, runner up. Went to a concert in Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City (where Jackie Robinson played his first game in the minors for the Montreal Alouettes) The fans on the field right next to the stage were so noisy that CSN had to cut short the acoustic portion. I still have not forgiven those jerk fans.

They had to cut short the acoustic portion, which promised to be the best part of the concert, and just go back to the electric music. People were pushing so hard that I was afraid someone might get killed being pushed into the fence surrounding the stage. Roosevelt stadium for a few years had some great concerts. I also saw the Allmans there and the Grateful Dead.

Great minds think alike I saw the Almans at MSG The problem that night was the great amount of drunk and stoned patrons vomiting right near us. Almost took away the great riffs by Dickie Betts

I had thought that they would so miss Graham Nash, that they would not sound the same. There was a difference, but the great hits still sounded wonderful. The new stuff was not.
