The three MA major league venues, TD Garden, Fenway and Gillette are privately owned. Public infrastructure money was spent to upgrade sewage, road access, North Station etc., but nothing anywhere near the billions the Bears are looking for. There might be a few other quality of life issues in Chicago (bang bang, duck!) that are a higher priority.

Unless you have outstanding reflexes, one might argue that ducking after the bang bang can produce less than desirable results

Do your homework rf1. State aid in MA is legally only allowed to adjust up to 4%-ish to count for inflation. Inflation was over 8%. Excuse me if my numbers aren't spot on but they're close. There's your shortfall. And it's statewide. Nice try.

The City of Providence, unlike some other cities, will not have future budget concerns impacted by looming potential deficits related to paying off bonds in excess of $100M for a public sports stadium built to benefit millionaires.

And yet Providence has a deficit with no ballpark and a school system run by the state of Rhode Island. And the Worcester school deficit has nothing to do with Polar Park.
