Power was being pursued by Kentucky. In opting for Virginia I guess he is saying that academics are not important to him.

He’s from Seattle as I recall - so he gets his NIL $ while sitting out

Will he receive the newly arranged salary from the school for 4 years ? It is a whole new world, at least for the power 4.

There is an NCAA recommendation to reduce the portal window from 45 to 30 days, starting after the Tourney’s second weekend.

I have seen a handful of players opting to return to their schools rather than go through the draft. NIL money pulling them back for another year!

Many of us never bought into his higher-level offers. But I thought as a freshman that he showed that he could roster on a program of our level.

Gotta be a D2 or D3 program that can use a big guy, assuming he didn't have another physical setback; in which case fugggetaboutit. Wills is a head-scratcher unless, as you say, he's shooting too high. Tse? Hope he puts his degree to good use.

But I thought as a freshman that he showed that he could roster on a program of our level. Wills produced more than Joey Reilly did his freshman or sophomore year but with the portal so full now, Wills is a commodity. Other similar or lesser talents have tenure in their programs, we'll call them the smart ones, so Wills could end up taking the Bubba and Drew route through Community College. What players might not give enough weight to is there are five classes of players with eligibility but still only four classes of scholarships available. Will's chances to snag a schollie would have been stronger after next season.

Regarding Tse, I would be happy to read or view an interview/travelog with our fellow Crusader about his post-high school route from one year at Deerfield Academy to one year at Salt Lake Community College to two seasons at Houston Baptist and two at Holy Cross. It is a fascinating journey. I'm happy for him it resulted in an HC degree.

And before Deerfield he was the backup point at NYC power, Archbishop Molloy, to Cole Anthony, currently in the NBA.

I wonder how many Deerfield Academy graduates end up going on to attend a JUCO.

Okpara, average about 17 ppg as a sophomore at Harvard, has transferred to Stanford. I guess if you are going to leave Harvard, Stanford is a real good landing spot.

He went for the bright lights in Wyoming? Although it doesn't explicity say that he signed with Wyoming, his Instagram reel has a video of him at Wyoming doing some media stuff in the Wyoming uniform. It appears to me he's going to be part of the team. Not at all where I expected him to land. I thought he'd want to be somewhere closer to where acting gigs could materialize.

Yeah, LA or NY seemed most logical for an actor.

Not much of an instagram guy, but I didn't see that. I just saw Dominion. That being said, the Wyoming site listed pulling in a transfer from St Louis last week and he's already on their roster. Maybe just crossing t's and dotting i's. Also I suppose it's possible he might be a preferred walk on. That is a potential reason for nothing on either the Wyoming site or the verbal commit site. I hope the kid doesn't lose this game of musical chairs
