Not surprisingly after a coaching change, 7 players are in the portal.

Fordham named Bridgette Mitchell today as their new coach - Mitchell comes from Northeastern where she had two very good years (NU was our best ooc win this past season) she’s a Duke grad

Do we have any space for a portal pick up, or are we maxed out? Who will be the defensive stopper at guard to replace Addie Cross next season?

UMass HC Verdi hired at Pitt. After Pitt was turned down by the Bowling Green coach and the FGCU coach. Bowling Green coach went to Michigan State and the FGCU coach didn't leave yet. FGCU finished the year ranked.

I think we have not given more than 13. Doubtful we would do it now

Eleven solid returnees. Even Huber looked sharper as a sophomore than as a freshman. Munt might have contributed more this year if less talent had come through the door in Wright and the freshmen and Berger hadn't improved so much. It's a nice dilemma to have so much returning potential and two new recruits.
And remarkably no major injuries since Demski and Davis left, especially compared to MBB. I thought I read that women's knees were subject to more stress in BB than men's due to the width of their hips or some similar structural reason.
The injury disparity could be a coincidence that will return to the mean for both teams, or one team could have better coordination and compliance between strength and conditioning staff, players and BB coaches.

I think we have not given more than 13. Doubtful we would do it now On rare occasion, we have had 14, last time I think was 2012-13 (which i think was the last time they rostered 15, believe Walsh was a preferred walk-on). Generally, over the scholarship years BG only carried 12/13. They did have 14 on the roster in 16/17, but Pedi was also a preffered walk on. she did have a sholarship her last 2 years. So if they did have the opportunity to add 1, they could.

Even though it's not easy to do at Holy Cross for basketball, there also exists the possibility that a rising senior (first year 2020-21) could play a fifth year.

Unlike in FB there is little chance of winning a national championship so the reward to stay twice as long in wbb isn't even half as much.😕

Odds of it happening are pretty slim- injury, illness, family situation....none of which have happened to those ladies up to now. But it is possible.
Most likely not for purely competitive reasons.

Plenty of treats were available in the Bulldog Room. Press releases introducing new head coaches put nominating speeches for "the next President of the United States" to shame. Having said that, it was an impressive four year run at UMass as Offensive Coordinator. I assume she always clarifies she was offensive coordinator for WBB, not UMass Football.

Shibles out at Dartmouth after only 2 seasons. Although the Big Green has been horrible the last 2 years, thought she had a longer leash. She had a very successful record at Bowdoin, .800 winning percentage in 13 years. I believe she was in the mix for the HC job.

At 4-49 there might have been an agreement that it wasn't working out.
