Not sure what issues Schibles had as coach, but the performance for Dartmouth was predictable as the previous coach took a declining program to a lower level before departing. Schibles didn't help herself with some really questionable hires on staff. She needed some assistants with more Division I experience or a staff member with some head coaching experience.

Shibles out at Dartmouth after only 2 seasons. Although the Big Green has been horrible the last 2 years, thought she had a longer leash. She had a very successful record at Bowdoin, .800 winning percentage in 13 years. I believe she was in the mix for the HC job. Dartmouth athletics says she resigned. Maybe. At 4-49 there might have been an agreement that it wasn't working out. She battled breast cancer last summer...got to wonder if health related.

There isn't a single coach on the Princeton staff besides Berube with any D-1 assistant coaching experience and she only had three years on the PC bench before going to Tufts.

Let's hope she's 100% healthy and that her cancer battle isn't a factor. Poor health would be a tough hurdle, especially for the demands of a coach. Wishing coach Schibles well.

Dartmouth ain't Princeton. And Berube brought playing D1 playing experience (UCONN obvi) and coaching experience (Providence) to an already-built championship roster at Princeton before Tufts. Schibles didn't have any D1 background to my knowledge. She needed that element on staff. Clearly.

And since Berube has taken over Princeton they have declined in dominance losing two games in conference play for the first time since 2018-2019 season. :-) Just playing devil's advocate here.

Agree with you on that. Banghart built a champion and left the cupboard full before heading to UNC and it doesn't take much to maintain it for the time being in a league without much competition for the Tigers.

In a bit of a surprise, Stephanie Gaitley, former Fordham HC, appointed HC at FDU. Recently was a HS coach.

Pretty ugly way to be fired I think:

Well, clearly Utah State was making a statement with the way they did this--in lieu of the kind of statement that they can't make public because it's a personnel matter. So they have the goods, can't talk about it, and the Coach knows her only play is to thank them and "respect their decision."
And no doubt Utah State knew they'd take some heat for handling it this way and they still did it! That says ALOT. So the relationship the coach has/did have with admin must be really, really poor and the reasoning behind the need to fire her must have really upset the admin folks.

Perhaps, or their AD is just a flaming Jerk. Memories of the Brown firing. At least he made it to the bus.

Two changes today in the low-mid major coaching ranks on the east coast, Dayna Smith fired at Cornell and Johnetta Hayes let go at UMBC (it's quiet in Easton where Damon Olson must be hoping she hangs on to her job)

Don't remember anything about TG except it was in the middle of the season after a no-show game at Yale. What were the particulars?

Don't remember anything about TG except it was in the middle of the season after a no-show game at Yale. What were the particulars? General consensus was TG had lost the team and NP lost his patience and fired him mid-season. It was PP's fifth year at QB and expectations were high. How NP did it probably wasn't objectionable because TG then and since has praised HC and stated he loved his tenure here as I recall. TG fared worse than MB because it was a mid-season termination, imo.

I spoke to him about two weeks after the coaching change. He spoke only in the most positive terms about HC. He said his biggest regret was that he had not been able to do more to bring big wins (and more PL titles) to HC.

Glad to hear it was the midseason firing that you were talking about (which is bad enough) versus something additional, like what seemed to happen w/MB (not sure MB even got to put his coat down in the office after the bus arrived from Lewisburg).

MB was such a gentleman. I hope he had time for an orderly exit and to say goodbye to the team and HC athletics staff since the season was over.
