The poor pay little to zero.
Those from combined income from 150K - 300K are in the kill zone.

My girls will become one a plumber, and the other an electrician. No way the debt burden at those rates, even with inflation, will be worth it. And they're not college-attending age for another twelve + years...

One might think tis is a good thing or a bad thing but college tuition is a massive redistribution of wealth. It's the same concept in public schools. In New Hampshire a couple with an expensive home but no kids could pay for several kids from families that don't pay any property tax, sales or income taxes. Medicaid works the same way. Some families could pay a thousand bucks or more per month for decent insurance while other families pays nothing for a more comprehensive Medicaid plan. |
